Chicago - but dreaming of Havana
LGC is one of my favorite non-Cuban brand. At least they have always been good. I haven't purchased or smoked a lot of them lately. I have been working through the singles drawer as of late and this big guy has been standing out. I decided this afternoon with football would work well for this big old cigar. It's probably about 5 or 6 years old. The construction is right on. Pre-light draw is good. This cigar doesn't smell as strong as most LGCs, but considering it's 9 inches long maybe it's like the Cubans of similar size. They make the longer cigars a bit more mild since you'll be smoking it for a considerable time and there's no need to try and overload anyone. The flavor is nice. More mild than I would normally like, but flavorfull. It burns very nicely.

Overall a very nice cigar. I haven't had one of these in a long time as this is the last from a box that I bought a long time ago. If you're looking for a nice big cigar for a football game or something this one is a good choice.

Nine inches long!!! Its too bad we couldn't have some pictures of that one, I bet it made a real nice ash before it would fall off. I have a couple of toros left from a 5 pack I got - gave the others away - now I have another cigar to look forward to.

So many cigars, so little time!

I just had a LGC Reserva Figurados Pyramides recently. That was huge as well and yet mild and smooth.

I'm sure you can find photos of that all over the internet. Just look at a site that has them for sale. It's the size they call Gran Corona in Cuba. 9 inches 47 ring gauge. I went through a phase where all I wanted was big cigars.

I have had some of the newer LGCs that I think may have been part of the reserve line. I don't remember. I just know they have some nice sizes with big ring gauges. Nice flavor on those guys as well. The regular line has always been good as well. I know a lot of guys made a big deal about Miami vs. DR but I would think that is a small difference at this poiint.
