Honeymoon was great. While in Nassau I was able to buy all kinds of Cubans

"Cahiba"
"Montecrista"

Okay just kidding.... but I had a blast. Great weather and all. The highlight though was the Graycliff visit. Let me tell you guys, that is one amazing resturant. The food was unreal. I had some fresh hand rolled cigars made right there and picked up a big bamboo for the ride home.

I got a personal tour of their 250,000 bottle wine cellar (3rd largest wine collection in the world) and they had some 1903 pre castro cubans and a slew of other rare cuban cigars from the early 20th century. Other cool things were Napoleans private personal humidor and the oldest bottle of wine in the world dated 1727 I believe.

If you are ever remotely near Nassau it is a must see.

Macallan,

Welcome back, I am glad you had a great time. Sounds like a great "Historic" trip! Napoleans personal Humidor? That's something I would like to see!

Macallan: Let me be the first to officially say...

The Honeymoon is over........

LOL! I KILL myself!!!! Muwahahaahaha.

Welcome back!

Welcome back, Mac! Where did you stay in Nassau?

And don't leave us alone with BP again - it got scary.

Good to have you back. We need your knowledge here. I'm sick of all these guys talking their nonsense. :p

I'll second the congrats. Wife and I did a day in Nassau as a part of our Disney World Honeymoon and had a blast. I'm kicking myself for not finding out about the Graycliff place before I left as sounds like an amazing place. I'd also like to know how the prices in Nassau rated compared to here. I recall everyone and their dog selling "real cuban cigars".

Thankfully, I didn't bite.

Resort prices on the Graycliff cigars were the same as they are here. But that fresh rolled stick was unbelievable. Specially blended just for me by the master blender :D

With premium cigars you either have to smoke it right off the rolling table or you have to wait 90 days. Anything in between and it gets gross.

Interesting. I would have thought one would have to let them sit awhile. I'll be the place smelled great. I love the smell of a humidor, I can imagine the rolling rooms are quite nice.

Glad you made it back...safe and sound!
Would have loved to try one of those sticks

Did you take the Booze Cruise that's offered in Nassau??? I can speak from experience when I say...it's worth it!!! 8)

Ok i'm late finding this thread, but I also just got back from Nassau and also had an amazing visit at Graycliff. I didn't stay there or stop to eat, but I did stop in to buy a red label, a blue label, and a Bahiba. I just got done with the Bahiba and now I can't wait to try the other two Graycliffs.

I have noticed that the prices there are about 80% of what I would pay at my cigar shop in Savannah, GA. But the best part of the trip to Graycliff is when they took me upstairs and let me get a Habana Montecristo #2. Man was that ever worth it.

The guy who helped me, (forgot his name, but was quick to help when I ventured over to the cigar factory and restaraunt) was very friendly and helpful.

By all means, if you go to Nassau, find the Graycliff Hotel! And if you want some REAL Cubans, spend some money on their brands, and then ask to be taken to the office so you can get a Cuban or two.

I will say they are the only retialer on the island that has what I would consider the real deal. Before the started making their own cigars, they were the only authorized LCDH dealer in Bahamas. They gave that up though for for their own brands.
