for all you cold weather smokers, do you find a cigar smokes and tastes different when its smoked outside in the 30's , than when its in the 70, 80 and 90's??

I haven't encountered taste differences, but trying to smoke a cigar in 19 degree weather, with the wind blowing at 15 mph is very interesting, I'll say that much.

Dammm amitures, time for a smoking room ! hahaha, everyone is welcome at the Qtr.Deck in the winter & when it is way to Hot in the summer, thats why I ahve A/C in the Qtr.Deck also, it is the best thing a cigar smoker can have when you arnt allowed to smoke in the house, like Docbarry & his Den, but I love the ability to smoke when ever I want , even when I dont want to drive to the cigar shop ! Enjoy, Vince

If I lived in a cold place I'd smoke in my car or a bar or a cigar shop.

Now, that's just crazy! No, offense, Bloof.

The wife will not go for it. She smokes cigarettes outside, so I have to smoke outside. She did let me turn the front porch into a smoking lounge. Its all inclosed but no heat. I do bundle up and smoke there. Its better than being in the raw outside weather. Its great in the spring, summer and fall though.

you can smoke cigars in the house since when lololol.......i have never smoked n the house wouldnt know how to act....had to smoke the other day in a snow storm lololol

I just go in my office, clost the door, and smoke next to the hepa filter. It does a decent job. I live alone though, so I can do what I like.

That said, I actually rather enjoy standing around smoking outdoors in cool weather, as long as it's not much under 30. I much prefer that to standing around in 90 degree summer weather.

Hehe It does get very smokey without proper ventilation. I'm just at my college apartment. My roommates don't mind the smell because it covers up another smell of theirs that really shouldn't be smelled by authorities.

I like to smoke a mild cigar in the summer when temps are rather high. When it's cold out I love a full bodied rich maduro. It's like when it's hot a nice light beer does the trick but when it's cold a thick rich Stout is the only thing. I smoke in my garage where the pool table is and just create a cross flow vent. I get caught up in the re-sale value of my car and house so I only smoke outside or in my truck. A truck smells better when it has a nice cigar smell to it. But the house kinda smells musty. 8)

Well, actually, I can smoke anything I want any time in my house, just like Bob's roommates. My cat and snake don't mind at all. But once in a while, I just really want that after work cigar, and when I get out of the firm on a cold winter morning, if the inspiration strikes, why not? So, hence the story about the 19 degree thingy. It wasn't a matter of having to, it was a matter of actually wanting to. :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh:

My friend and I adjourned to my front porch last night - me with a CAO Maduro and him with a Cusano C10. It was chilly - upper 30s/lower 40s and just a touch of wind. He wussed out half way through his cigar, but I held strong and played chicken with my fingers. Fingers won, but it was close.

I guess the glass of Glenmorangie 10yr helped matters a bit.

I usually go out to the garage and put up the door about halfway. It's not too bad as long as there's not a lot of wind. I find that I definitely enjoy a cigar better in warm weather though.

I was trying very hard to be polite and not notice that. :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh:

usually i smoke at my girlfriends house but theres no smoking in the house so me and her father bundle up and go outside we have 2 chairs under a vestubule for us its out weekend ritual. but now i found this great cigar lounge near us so we might just go there.

I spent nearly half my life living in Queens. Still hang there a lot. Go Queens, home of Paul Simon, Christopher Walken, Pia Zadora, and countless other famous and talented Americans.
