I have a 50 ct and a 120 ct humidor what is the best way to humidify them? Is the foam bettert than the beads. I think I like the beards because the seem so easy. Any ideas.

It's the spidersense........

I would get the opinion of others, but I know a lot of people on here like the beads, and that is what was recommended to me.

I've been using the humidity packs that come in the Fuente boxes. Works WONDERFULLY for me. Keep my humi at a constant 65 - 68. A little high for some people, but I find it to be pretty good for my sticks.

i use the exquisicat crystals works just like beads, does a great job and lot cheaper. you can get them at petsmart, gotta love kitty litter :D :D :D

BEADS are awsome. I know the cat litter stuff is just about the same. I'm just more comfortable with the beads. 1/2 a pound of beads is only16.00 or so.

i was pm,d for more info on this i will try to help but van55 is the best source of info on the kitty litter. i use the crystal litter the same as i would the beads they are the same product basically. i season them the same and have been using them in my humi's and my frigidore. the humidity has stayed rock steady at 65%. you can get about 10 pounds of crystal litter for about 10 to 12 dollars a much better deal imho.http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_ ... 9967139389
this is the link to what i use :D

just as a note to what jhopephulle said.... Do not get the Exquisicat that has the blue crystals mixed into it. These are fragrance crystals, and you do not want your cigars to smell like a litter box! :p Just make sure the jug you get is all clear/white. Exquisicat also makes the Pear Fresh litter (looks like same label as the link above) I understand that this can be used successfully as well. Hope that helps.

the blue is just for show the litter is odorless as stated on the product :D

REALLY? I stand corrected then :D please disregard my previous post

although you CAN use the Pearl Fresh

I think that I am going to use the beads but for the larger count humis is it better to have a couple samller amounts of beads in different locations. Or on large amount in one location. I think that I am goig to use the two small amounts

I think that jesse uses two things of beads in his humi, so he can probable answer you there. Another solution would be to put a small fan in the humi to circulate the air (larger humidor of course) Someone with more experience, I'm sure, can tell you the best way of doing it.

Since warm air rises so does humidity. In a small humidor I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference but in a larger one it can be quite a bit. However since your cigars are in one area more or less in a desktop that size I wouldn't worry too much.
