Just wondering what your opinions on the Padrons in general are, and specifically the 1964 vintage?

Worth the money, or should I stick with Hemingways?

Thanks,

Cutter

I have a few of the 1964's.
They're very good! Sometimes they cost quite a bit but they're worth it.

Although the Hemingway's are pretty hard to beat!

I like the 1926 a little better, but I usually save them for special occasions.

As whether or not to just stick to the Hemmingway's, you are comparing apples to oranges. They are two very different animals.

Variety IS the spice of life, grasshopper. Why "Stick" to one cigar ? I personally enjoy all of the Padron line. I am buying the estate selection now but I have several 1926's, 1964's, & 4000 maduro's in my happy humidor.

I think it is a toss up ont he 64 and 26. I used to think they were no better than the regular line padron, tehn I aged a box for about 2 years and suddenly I saw the hype. In this line I recommed a larger ring and extra aging.

The 1964 Maduros are still considered one of the world's best cigars, and can even please some hard core Cuban smokers. If you can afford them, and find them, always have a few around. If I could afford them and find them, I would. With me, affording them is the biggest problem. Despite the fact that Hemingways don't come with a small price either, they're way cheaper than the Padron 1964 Maduros. But the latter is certainly worth going out on a limb for, if you can.

The Pardon Anni's and Hemmingway's are two very different beasts....

I love them both, but very unique in different ways...It is definitely worth buying a few, I'd say buy them both!

:D

I would recommend trying some of the regular Padron line. The 2000, 3000, and Londres are reasonably priced and worth every penny if you like a full-flavored, balanced smoke. Also, the Fuma is nice if you're new to Padron. You can get a whole box for very little compared to similar cigars.

I like the 64's, I like the hemmingways, but then I like a lot of things that others dont, you got to go with your own taste buds, Taste is the reason I some cigars, I like the taste, the 26's are BIG$$$, the 64's are a little less, but about the same as some of the hemmingways, If I like a cigar I smoke it, if it cost 80 cents & tastes good to me , well its worth it, & if it cost 150 bucks, & sucks , so be it, I know if it cost a rock & a half, I didnt pay for it ! hahahaha Enjoy, Vince

LMAO! I bought 5 Padron Vintage 1926 sticks for about $20.00/stick at one of the cigar auction sites. They should ship tomarrow, and I have the bowel in my new JFK Humidor. Saw it for $25.00 on an auction site. Made me want to bid it up on the guy MUHAHHAHAHA! Of course I would never do that. Really.......I wouldn't

Thanks again,

Cutter

The 1964's in Maduro are one of my all time favorite cigars, they are right up there with the best aged Cubans.

I stock the Exlclusivos, Monarcas and Coronas at all times. I generally smoked 5-6 a week of these and always look forward to smoking them. They are pricey but I have been able to find the Monarcas and Exlusivos for 229.00 a box and the Coronas for 185.00 a box.

I also love the 1926 Maduros but rarely buy them. I cannot justify the price difference between them and the 1964's. The 1926's are stronger with more nose, but that is the only differences I find between the two.
