So these things are the talk of the town locally and on most of the boards I read, but I was behind in smoking one. I have had 5 of them sitting for about 4 months so I finally grabbed one for my morning coffee. The wrapper was very nice texture and good oil to it. I smoked it with a couple cups of Kenya AA. It is more full body then I usually like in the morning but I knew what I was getting into and had a bowl of cereal before heading outside.
The cigar was smooth, great draw and awesome construction. I had a corona because I didn't want to sit out in the cold weather too long. One thing that I was looking for was a cubanesque taste. I have been told that one of the lines they offer tastes sort of cuban. It was either not this line, or I disagree with masses. It is a good Nicaraguan cigar, good flavor. I'll be interested to see what I think after I smoke the other 4. After just one I would have to say the only way I would buy them again is to age them. I could definatly see buying a box to open in a couple years. I don't make any decisions based on just one, so I am interested to see what I think in a couple weeks when I have finished all 5. I was very critical of the cigar since it has been so hyped up to me. Overall I'd give it an 82, but that could easily change after my next one.

What is everyone elses thoughts on this cigar?

georgenickson bought a box. He had an interesting experience smoking his first one.... PM him about it if he doesn't see this thread.

Nice review brother, it sounds like the beginning of an experiment for sure. Where did you acquire those babies, are they readily availble?

There you go!

I bought a box a few weeks ago of the Regios size. As far as I have heard, the person rolling these cigars has had extensive experience with Cubans, and rolls in that style. I love that they date the boxes, and my box was rolled in Feb. '06. Upon smoking one to try (I'm aging the rest) I loved the flavor immediately. Full, creamy, nice texture... everything I was looking for. Despite this, the construction was atrocious. It didn't burn evenly and didn't want to stay lit. I am mostly attributing this to the cigar's extreme young age. I believe cigars need months just to be at a level of acceptible smoking. Overall, love the flavor... but hope the burn quality improves.

My local shop has them and they are easily available. I agree that almost no cigar is worth smoking young. I did not know they date the boxes since I only bought singles. I like that for sure. The one I smoked burned and was constructed well, but it is also probably close to a year old. 4 months or so in my humidor and my local shop doesn't sell anything they get in until it has sat and leveled out.

I also just recently had my first Tatuaje. I didnt catch the name of the size but it was like a super toro and it had 2 bands, one was Reserva I believe.

I was impressed with it's construction and body.
I think a little time would really help it smooth out, but I enjoyed the cigar tremendously.

i have one of those bulz, maybe if the weather will clear up i can smoke it!

there seems to be an overall consensus that they should be aged

I had one before, and it was very good. The first cigar I smoked when I made my purchases at Grant's in San Fran.

In fact, I was looking to buy those when I went to the mall but alas, they didnt have them :( Bought a Monte Crisco white instead.

Probably gonna go to San Fran and buy some tomorrow.

I love the Miami line. To me it is one of the best cigars out there. Bildo, what shop do you buy from. I played poker this weekend with a guy who owns a shop in Hilton Head but I forgot his name.

I buy from Peacefull Henry's and the owner is Henry. Great guy, and awesome shop. They have easily the best selection around here.
