Well, I'm back to work after a relaxing 12 days off. Enjoyed doing nothing, drinking, smoking cigars, eating good food, drinking and smoking cigars.

I previously posted that I got a chance to stop by a cigar store and pick up a few extra sticks. They are resting comfortably in my humi at home. Most of my cigar smoking revolved around three different cigars:

5 Vegas Gold Toro
CuAvano Toro
5 vegas Series A robusto ???

I enjoyed all three cigars. The 5 Vegas Gold, believe it or not, started off a little to spicy for my tastes. It did mellow out about a third of the way into the stick, just as advertised and was a good smoke the rest of the way, nice even burn. I've smoked about five of these now and although it's a good cigar, not my favorite.

The 5 Vegas Series A was an outstanding smoke. Although I enjoy mild, and I guess this cigar goes more towards medium, I liked it better than the Gold. Smoked two of them and they were both great.

The Cuavano has really captured my interest. I LIKE this cigar. Nice and mellow from start to finish, no peppery taste at all. Just a good smoke. But, (seems like there is always a but) it just seemed to me, even to my novice palate as being a little one dimensional.

I will probably buy more of the Series A, and maybe some CuAvanos.

BUTTTTTTTT, another but

I am hitting 95 tomorrow to visit the folks and will be stopping at JRs on the way. Who knows what I'll find there that I like.

Where did you go? Anywhere fun and exotic, or just your own back yard?

After being away for 6 1/2 months, my own back yard was about as far as I wanted to go.

Glad to hear you could get some rest and relaxation. Wish I could do that. Can't wait for June and Capt's Cigar-b-que! Welcome back.
