Watching Eli smoke Robs cigars
I'm heading to a nice cigar store in Birmingham this afternoon and would like a few suggested smoke to try. I like something from medium to full best. Thanks!

Padron 1964 or 1926
Fuente Hemingway - any of them
Ashton Heritage - Any of them
Cuesta Del Ray

those are all good choices, but they are all the same things that everyone here always says. im gunna go out on a limb and suggest a few others....

sancho panza cervantes
Danli reserve corona
hoyo de monterrey dark sumatra espresso
and from the cusano line: Cusano P1 ... I like the corona

good luck
and tell us what you got and what you think of them

CAO Brazilia
Arturo Fuente Hemingway
Cusano 18
Carlos Torano Casa Torano
La Gloria Cubana
Rocky Patel Vintage 1990

What shop are you going to? I'm in the Birmingham area.

CAO Gold
The Griffin's
Playboy (if you can afford it)
Savinelli Nicaraguan Reserve
El Rico Habano

I would suggest Indian Tabac either the SF Maduro line or the Fire. Both are excellent cigars.

Just my 1.87 cents worth.

Going to the Humidor Room off of 280. Leaving in about 15 minutes. I've written 'em down. I'll let y'all know what I get and how I like them. I cant wait to walk into that walk in humidor...the smell is divine!

Thanks everyone!

Well, I'm back and first let me just say thanks to all that posted their suggestions. I bought a couple handfulls of sticks and I've already smoked one of them this evening. This is what I got:

A few Cusano 18 maduros. I smoked one just a few minutes ago and really enjoyed it. Nice mild smooth smoke. Very good cigar.
Two Rocky 1990's (down right nice to look at)
Six Camacho Coyolar Puros' (Gosh I love those...I need a box of em!
Four Punch GP's
Four CAO Ciollo's
Four Camacho's (not sure what they are...shaped different than anything else I saw and were about eight bucks a stick)

Sadly they didnt have most of the cigars that were recommended. None the less I hope to enjoy the sticks I got. The older fella that is normally there wasent in the store so I was a little reluctant to just buy without some idea of what I was getting my self into.

elidog,

If you get over to Hiway 31 just north of the Galleria there is the Tobacco Shop, right across from Crest Cadillac. They have the best selection of cigars of any shop I've been in around Birmingham.

Tomorrow I will go to my local tobacconist and after reading this thread, I have added to my list of what im going to try and buy.
My list so far:
Pardon Churchill
Danli reserve corona
Rocky Patel edge
5 Vegas corona
AVO 80th
CAO Brazilia
Sancho panza
Punch
Partagas Black label

dbrad4d, I'll check it out next time I go to Birmimgham. Thanks! I've got to say I felt a little let down once I got in the humidor and started looking for cigars. In any event I'll check it out. That should be easy to get my wife to agree to as its so close to the Galleria.
