I have a quick question that can probably be easily answered. Is this forum mirrored on C.com? I came to post through Amback though I hear people refer to this as C.com forum. If so was this first Amback or first C.com?

Yes they are one in the same, but it held the Amback name first. The cigar forum is one of the first forums here on Amback.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyy, Jason, the Big Steam Engineer!!!

How's it going with you and your loved ones, and how are things down at the yard?

Hi Bloof!
Everythings great here. How are you guys doing?

PS. I really wish I was a Steam Engineer..

Well, I am alive and reasonably well, my cat and snake are alive and very well, but the rest of my life is crazy. Nonetheless, I wake up every day with a positive attitude and do the best I can, seeking The Lord's help with each step.

And as for you and big steam, I'm a little behind in my railroad reading (a LOT behind), but I think you need to get together with Steve Lee at the U.P. and tell him I said it's okay to sign you up. They should bring back a Big Boy or two and have you do freight runs up in the Wasatch.

I am glad everythings good.

As for the second thing..
I would probably die and go to Heaven, just sitting behind the controls.

The Amback forum has been around since 2003, and the cigar forum was one of the first forums on the board.

Our very own Generalissimo Fernando Coelho founded the board, and he has been a member since Jan. 21st, 2003.

A couple years ago Amback merged with Battlerifles.com. I am not sure when Cigar.com came into the mix.

You may notice some members go back as far as Oct. 2001, they will be the members from Battlerifles.

That means that some of you guys are really cranking out the posts... bloofington must average 4 posts a day...

6.28 posts per day according to his profile.

IIRC the Cigar forum opened up on the Amback a couple of months after the Battlerifles site was absorbed. If you only access the Cigar forum from Cigar.com you don't see the rest of the forums on Amback.

Take it easy on Bloof, he's just verbose!
I'm infected too....

Actually, although Bigg Bosss Mann signed me up some time in the late summer/early fall of 2003, I actually didn't join and start working/posting here until February 8, 2004. I think that puts me up around eight posts a day. Back in my days on "another web site, long, long ago, and far, far away, beyond Altair-6  :D ," I used to average 30 posts a day. I was working more back in those days, too. :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :pumpkin:

You're actually not all that far from the truth. But by the time I'm ready, in another 8-10 years, will there be, ohhhhhh, say a five acre plot bordered by woods, perhaps a small stream nearby, and WHERE NO ONE ELSE PLANS TO BUILD A FREAKING MALL, OR A MICKEY D'S, HOME DEPOT, WALMART OR CHARBUCKS WITHIN 30 MILES OF ME UNTIL THE YEAR 2036??? IS IT POSSIBLE???

Sorry. :flush: :help:

Wow. Cool. I could watch a lot of Union Pacific freight action. Bailey Yard. SD90MAC's. AC6000's. LNG yard switchers.

STEVE LEE!!! :eek:mg: :eek:mg: :eek:mg:
