Well, I guess they don't actually give you a title with a bachelor's degree, but it sure seems like they should!

Contrary to the expectations of my family and friends, I finally graduated with my BS in Physics, minor in Mathematics. I just gave my final talk on my senior research project this afternoon, and I seem to have made it out alive.

I'm off to light one up with some of my buddies. Hell, I think I'll take a few and pass 'em out!

Congrats! Now the question is... do you have the monster cigar required to graduate? Anything less than 10 inches w/ a 50+ ring gauge just won't do. You'd best get a Graycliff big bamboo FedExed to you. Unless of couse you want to show off a truly ridiculous volume of leaf, in which case you'll need a Puros Indios Chief.

Congratualations brother!! My stepfather is Phd Math and Phys, so you are well on your way!!

Congratulations, Soupwell!! Well done.

I never got the opportunity to go to college myself (unless 7 years of high school count :? )
but I probably would have gotten some BS in something.

Well, I didn't have a Chief to light up, but I passed out some Puros Indios Double Maduro Gordos (6x60); that's a pretty big hunk 'o leaf! Three of my buddies and I smoked the monsters while we played poker. Pretty good way to end the night.

My best friend and I also smoked a couple of the Gurkha Centurion XX's right after I finished with my talk, so it was damn good cigar day all around.

Congratulations there Soup,
Your right you do need a title physics and mathmatics
pretty heady stuff,

Good luck

Congratulations. The hard part is over… sort of.

When looking for a job, don’t give up. My girlfriend spent a little over a year sending out tons applications and resumes (sp?). She would send out 5 - 10 a day every day. At that time she had two jobs:
1) Shift supervisor at CVS
2) Finding a career
Don’t get frustrated if your job isn’t handed to you. It won’t be. Any time you get mad and are all worked up about the tons of rejections you are bound to receive just light up a cigar and have a beer and think how lucky you are to have what you do have.

BTW, the woman loves her “grown up” job.

Cigars look great on a taxi driver.

:rotflmao: :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :rotflmao: :eek:mg: :eek:mg: :flush:

Hope things work out well for you. Congratulations. Don't forget, a Puros Indios Chief may last a whole shift in the taxi.

Congratulations!

Hopefully I'll be able to start my own thread like this in 3 years. Looking at furthering your education anymore or is it off to a job?

Definately a time to celebrate after 4 years of physics and math courses. 8)

I've decided to "get a real job" instead of going for grad school.

And it's been more like 6 years of physics and math courses, plus two years off in the middle (I took the scenic route  )

Anybody looking to hire a physicist with strong math, computer, and leadership background, give me a shout.

Grats, soup! You certainly deserve it my friend! I too took a bit of a scenice route through school. The thing that matters is that you finished it. Now go invent some sort of sonic killer for tobacco beetles. One that won't hurt the precious.

congrats man. now you have to work the rest of your life

it's not so bad, you can afford cigars other than black and milds :p
