830 CST the Gracie Hughs fight will be on pay per view. Sweeeeettttttt. This is going to be a good match. Gracie did not fight with time restrictions back in the day, but hell he fought 4 guys a night. It ill be great.

Are you getting it off PPV??? I am stuck at work, so call me when its done!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will do. Sorry to hear you are stuck at work. Looks like your internet works again though.

I'm a HUGE fan of both fighters!

I want Gracie to win...it's possible that he could.

In the end, though, I think that Hughes will prevail.

Either way, it's going to be a great fight!

I hope so anyway. I don't want it to be a 30 sec knockout, know what I mean?

Internet came back up last night. I should've ordered it, and Tivo'd it. Damn!!!! I only have 13 hours and 9 minutes left of this 48 hour shift. Karen just brought Big up to see me, that was really nice to see him..... I mean see HER.......

Ya if Hughes wins I want it to be on a drop and ground and pound but if Gracie wins, I want it to be with some rediculous armbar.

I would like to see something else out of Royce besides a choke. Every UFC Championship he won was with a choke. Mix it up!

I ASSUME your watching spike to see the countdown to the fight. I did for a while till the race came on

You bet your a$$!!! Its been a little slow at the firehouse this evening, so I actually get gome TV time tonight. I should probably just go to bed.

I will report the results but I dont hold me to it as I have lots of booze to consume.

Anyway, my guests are arriving so I need to tend to them. Later.

Hummuna, hummuna, hummuna, I thought, ummmmm, that Capt was hosting the MidWest Sit Down this weekend. Uh oh, duty calls. And he says he's not a hero. A 48 hour shift. I wouldn't last 48 minutes in a firehouse. :eek:mg: :eek:mg:

Bloof, the Mid-west sit down is June 17th. I expect you there. Your ticket will be in the mail soon..... 8)

One of our Capt's blew out his knee and will be out up to 3-4 months. There are gonna be a lot of overtime shifts to fill.
But a 48 is really no big deal. Its the 96's that can really kick your A$$! I have work a ton of 48's, my share of 72's, but 96's I have only done once. I was so lost, had to call home and get directions on how to get back home.......

:cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: Directions back home!!! That's like John Madden knew he had to leave coaching when he thought his 16 year old son was 12. Or like yesterday, when I was shaving for the first time in at least three weeks. It was so long, not only do I think I set a personal record, but when I was done, I didn't recognize the guy in the mirror!!! I forgot!!! :eek:mg: :pumpkin: :cryinlaugh: :sm_angel:

And I will mostly likely be in Puerto Rico on the 17th, checking up on my dad, but I surely wish everyone a good time.

The 96's are bad.  :duh: :duh: :sm_angel:

Lol! Why tamper with a winning formula?

I can see your point too. I guess do what works and what is the quickest. I would rather see fights stand up, vs. going to the ground. It is more exciting to see a win by a KO than an arm bar or rear naked choke. But, that is just my opinion.

Yeah, grappling isn't really as sexy as lots of punchs and kicks but if a guy can avoid all that and just wrestle his opponent down and torque on him until he is in a boatload of pain then I respect that as much as good stand up fighter.

By the way Capt, I am not watching that either but I will call up my brother and post an update as soon as the fight is finished.

Hughs wins. Refaree stopage with less than a minute left in round 1. Caugh royce on hist stomach and grond and poinded the back of his head. It was a good stopage. You could tell they really waited to stop it until they were certain.
