So I went to the lake this weekend and my intention was to fish till I dropped. Well, I ended up working on projects and only fished a little. Welcome to my life. Anyway we did get the gazebo built and the shed cleaned out and the water system installed but that's not why I'm posting this. I wanted to share my experience with a couple of cigars and the great outdoors. First I did get a little fishing in on Friday night and I fired up a Pueblo Domicano Torpedo while fumbling with a giant nightcrawler. The worm seemed to want to stay in that nice chunky dirt he/she calls home. When I finally convinced him/her that I was bigger and somewhat smarter, he/she went for a swim. At last I was ready to really enjoy this fine smoke I bought on the last Friday deal. I have to say that this cigar is now in my top 5 of "My Favorite Cigar" list. Yes it had a great start, Yes it had a sweet wonderful middle and Yes I burned my fingers on this one. I can't break it down into the spice/rich/body framework because I only thought of how I could smoke this thing all night long. When It was no longer there, I wished I had brought 2. Instead I had this other cigar that I had never tried before. I had a Rocky Patel Sun Grown Torpedo. Now Donny told me I would love this one. I told him I didn't think so because it seemed to light for me. I really love a Maduro and this one was kinda blonde. NO, Donny said, You gotta try this one, you'll love it. So anyway, I get back to camp, I open the fridge and grab a Red Tail Ale and sit down to enjoy the campfire. The whole time this RP Sun Grown is calling my name. I tried my best to ignor it but I lost the battle. I looked at it, I smelled it, I pinched it softly and then I lit that sucker. From the first smell of burn I could tell that this was going to be a terrific smoke. I toasted the end until it was glowing and then slowly blew on it until it was nice and even. I took the first draw and was over come by this rich nutty almost sweet taste. As I gulped, oops I mean sipped, yeah that's it, my Red Tail I smoked this ever-changing, exciting, rich, satisfying cigar. I will never doubt Donny again. This cigar also made my top 5 list, a list that changes often. As of this moment, My favorite cigars or I should say my top 5 cigars are, (not in any order) Rocky Patel Vintage 1990, Pueblo Dominicano, Rocky Patel Sun Grown, 5 Vegas "A" Series, Ashton Aged Maduro. If any of you guys or gals have not tried either of these 2 cigars, you MUST. I'm stating my reputation (which aint much) on these. Also my deepest thanks go out to Donny for his advice. Ahh, I love stories. Especially the ones that talk about sitting by a fire cleaning your gun with the old faithful bird dog at your side next to the wood stove..... Oh, wait, that is MY story... Sorry!

Ahhh Yes! My Nitro solvent is something I try to keep away from the fire! LOL :lol: I was fishing for trout. Got alot of dancing but failed to bring anything on shore. The year has been a wierd one and I think the fish are a little slow right now :? . So much rain they seem to be well fed. I pump my crawlers with air :shock: and use a carolina rig and usually just haul em in but not yet this year. I am a bass fisherman but I have not had the time to get out on the boat yet
. I too love shooting. I have a model 52 short barrel lever action 30-30, Rem 11-57 Premier 12 guage, Rem 870 wingmaster pump 20 and a nice winnie 22 tube loader. If I am outside, I love to be doing something. If you ever make it out to northern California you MUST look me up. We'll do the town and the country. Lot's of great open country out here. We can spend lots of time out on the boat and smoke many cigars by the fire!
