Anybody familiar with this line? Almost everytime I go into one of my local shops one of the clerks recommends the Maximus line to me. I know that the more and pricier the cigars he sells the better his business goes and I appreciate his insights but dropping $15-$22 for a cigar I have no idea about is a rather unappealing option. He stilll hasn't offered a first time freebie either! :)

Anyways, the only information I have found is that Fuente makes them, apart from that...nothing.

Any information is greatly appreciated and if I bite the bullet and buy one I will be sure to post my thoughts and opinions.

The ones with the Connecticut shade wrappers are okay, fairly tasty, smooth, light, not worth the price in my opinion, because you're paying for the name and not the cigar. A prestige cigar with little flavor going for it, when matched against it's price. Not sure if they make them with a different wrapper. If I want a Connecticut shade wrapper cigar with some flavor, I'll go for Cuesta Rey, Playboy, The Griffin's, CAO Gold, and a couple others I can't think of at the moment.

the maximus line i've heard are good, havent had one myself though yet

I was gifted one of those in a PIF, and smoked it about a month ago or so. I thought it was nothing special, but the band is absoulutely beautifull, and is a nice addition to my collection.

There you go brother. Worth 15 bucks? I don't think so, half of that, maybe. 8) 8)

I agree with everyone else. Good but not great and not worth the price...

You can spend 1/3 to 1/2, depending on the size, for a Playboy, and not only get Connecticut shade with flavor, but a bit of a kick, too.
