hey everyone i am just dropping in to say hi while im on lunch

i haven't had much time to log on lately. dropped in a few times but just long enough to read some posts

i do have a quick questi n though

yesterday i recieved a Box of the punch rare corojo el doble, the ones in the glass tube 6*60,

anyways i want to let them age for a while, and was wondering if i need to take them out of the tubes while in the humi, they have cork tops so they aren't air tight but will it slow down they aging prosess or complicate humifing them if i leave the corks on.

thanks all

Good to see you back in the forum Railed!

Listening to a podcast from the Cigar Nation a couple of days ago and that question came up. They say cigars in glass tubes will still age fine, only at a much slower rate.

I'm sure the knowledgeable people here should be able to give you a more definitive answer though.

(I just finished a Rare Corojo Rothschilde about 10 minutes ago. A great smoke!!!)

Brother, if you are at all worried about them, just send them to me, adn I will be sure to report to you as I smoke each one!!

i think this thread has existed before....
ill say what i said last time

i open the tube for a few weeks so i know that they are at the RH i want. then i close them up and let em sit.

still rotate em.

They don't put them in the coffins anymore? That was the best packaging I've seen yet.

I do the same as kuzi though I don't think its necessary.

i think the 05's came in coffins, the 06's are in fat glass tubes

yeah the 06's are in glass tubes, The box was so heavy when it arrived, I didn't even think it was the cigars.

Anyways thanks for the info I think i'm gonna pull the corks off but leave them in the glass tubes.
