10K over all 2nd place womens!!!!

Very Proud of my wife today.
She ran her very first race today.
She was the second women to cross the finish line and
the first place winnner in her age group.
Came home with a nice BIG TROPHY!

The girl that beat her was a 4 time State Champion.
Misa's time was 42 minutes.
She really kicked serious Butt today.
I couldn't be prouder!

At first I thought maybe you had run the race CC and had come in second. Congrats to the wife.

My buddy asked me to run a few races with him later in the summer and I can't say I'm all that happy about it. I haven't been into running in a few years and would much prefer to concentrate on strength training. After all, I'm built for comfort not for speed.

For the record, Misa averaged just over 6 minutes and 45 seconds per mile, for nearly 6 1/4 miles. For someone who's a Jane Citizen, that's movin'!!!

I have so many more cigars it's kind of nice.
I offered her an Epi 2 during warm ups
It was a nice smoke while I waited for her.
She was finished before I was

Actually, 10k is 6.2137 miles. Sorry to hear Misa's not smoking. Tell her it's time to light up.

Wow. Congrats to Misa. I don't think I could do one mile in that time.

Yeah, that's true. A lot of people look at the respective world records for the mile, 3:43.13 for men (Hicham El Guerrouj), and 4:12.56 for women (Svetlana Masterkova), and think, I could run a six minute mile EASY!!! Not quite. Running one six minute mile ain't easy. For a regular girl like Misa to string together over six sub-7 minute miles is quite a feat.
