Opinions

I have heard couple different opinions and curious about yours

I hear some folks like to keep their sticks in the cellophane when in their hummis,,and others take them out,,so they can age with the other smokes.
also I know you should keep your infused sticks away from your regular ones by putting them in a seperate hummi, or keeping them in their wrappers.

what do you do?

For most stuff I buy I leave it on. So far I've been mostly buying singles or small quantities. One of my two humis is pretty much dedicated to a pile of singles, though there are quite a few RP Vintages in there from a Fri special. I end up digging through that humi almost on a daily basis looking for something to smoke, so I leave the cello on to protect the cigars.
I've got another humi that's mostly full of naked sticks + some high end stuff. I put singles & small quantis in the tray & piles of the same thing underneath. If I get a box or large batch of the same thing I'll usually put some in the singles box still in cello for carrying around or smoking soon, 1-2 naked ones in the tray, and the rest naked under the tray to let them age a bit.

I just put them in the trays as they are. Cellophane is not airtight at all so it really doesn't affect the cigars much if at all IMO. I do arrange my meager stash of cubans together as well as some of the rarer and coffin/tubed cigars together. Churchills go in a separate tray simply because they only lay one way. All others stay in their boxes or go in the overflow ziploc that just lays in the back open.

As for infused cigars, I never have any but if I did I would either have a separate humi or bag them with bovedas.

if you left your cigars out in the open for a week they would be ruined. All the moisture would seep out and you would have a dry cigar. If you left them out but kept the cellophane on you would have a dry cigar wrapped in cellophane. I leave my cellophane on so that i can tag my sticks with the date that they hit my humidor. if i didnt do that i wouldnt leave it on at all. it really makes no difference as far as aging goes.

...IMHO ... i mean i have been known to be wrong.

.... on several occasions

I agree that is dosen't make a big difference. I take my loooong term stash out but leave everything I plan to smoke within a few years the way they come. Tubes are the exception...I like to take my sticks out of the tubes.

I take the cellophane off. It saves me that much more time when I grab one to smoke. That's the only reason.

I take mine off for a couple of reasons. I don't like to mess with them when I am ready to smoke, and I think they look better in my humidor without it on. I always figured they age a little better without also because there is more air movement. I don't know...just what I do.

I take it off because I feel the cigars get a nicer flavor from the cedar in the humi, probably just a malfunction in my brain, but cigars that have been in my humi for a month or longer get a nice cedar flavor going...

I like to take it off for the simple reason that I like the way they look naked.

Cello off for same reason as Wolf, they look better naked!!. I am just very careful when digging around for a stick.

If they are agin in my cabinet or in boxes I take it off in most cases unless I buy them aged in Cello, then I just leave them as is. If they are loose singles in my desktop, I leave it on.

cool,,,,sounds like for the most part,,people remove them,,,I'm about 50/50
my everday stuff i take out,,just cause its easier,,,and since the are cheapo's,,maybe they will take on flavor from the others in my hummi
