Rocky Patel Vintage 1992

I've never been a big fan of Rocky Patel cigars. I've never understood the hype.
But today I tried a Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 that's been sitting in my humidor for 6 months. True to form, it started out harsh, but about 1/3 of the way, it settled down into a wonderful, enjoyable smoke, with lots of cedar taste. I really enjoyed it. I'm glad to admit I've changed my mind about Patel cigars, and will gladly give them another chance.

Glad to hear it. I love Rocky's products and they never cease to please.

I just had my first Rocky today it was 1990. I didn't find it to be very harsh, in fact quite the opposite it was very smooth and rich. I loved it. However, it kept an uneven burn and on the last third it kept plugging till I finally gave up on it. I will be smoking more of these though.

The RP 90 and 92's are a staple in my humidors. I like the 92's better as well, but none of them have ever left me feeling anything but warm and fuzzy!

Great smokes...

I love the REOs, but find that the draw is a little tight on the 1990s and 1992s. Anyone else run into this?

I had a Rocy 1992 the other night for the 4th. It had a great taste and a good even burn. Glad I smoked it and I know in the near future I am going to get me a few of these for my humi.

I've never noticed anything harsh about the 90s or the 92s. I definately prefer the flavor of the 92s but I enjoy them both.

I've only had the 92 and I did enjoy it - have to try the 90 as well.

Good to see you again Calibus!
