I decided to post this after reading the Opus X post on this board.

What is your favorite cigar to smoke? Regardless of the price?

Some people often save expensive cigars for special occasions. Is that primarily due to expense or do you save it for special occasions because it is good enough to savor on a special occasion? Or just because they are often Rare!

Just curious,
Jackie

My favorite cigar is a Por Lorranaga Petit Corona (Habana). Just an all around great cigar. The flavour is so conmplex, yet very tasty. I just love them.

Just out of curiosity guys could you post the going rate for your favorite cigar... I am just curious about how expensive your taste is. Also I am always looking for new cigar to try.

My fav smoke right now are the Partagas Piramides EL (1999). I smoke them only on special occasion because they are expensive, rare, and good enough to savor. Don't get me wrong, if I had an endless supply I would smoke them much more often. I only have a limited supply I would like to last me for an extended period and cannot easily find more. I have to carefully choose when to spark these and savor them as a treat.

Taking a look at the other side of things, I have a couple cigars that I truly enjoy and often smoke. I smoke these because I enjoy them completely, they are easy to get my hands on, and are not too expensive. I don't savor them any less because they cost less, but admittedly I don't consider the experience of smoking them as 'special'

The OpusX I have are another story. I very much enjoy the flavor and experience smoking OpusX, but would not smoke them everyday even if they were common and inexpensive.

Just my .02

Just due to the age and rarity I don't see many EL Party Pir's for sale, but when I do they usually get more than $20 a stick

My fav is the ERDM Choix Supreme around 7.50 a stick. Greta flavor and price. even better with some age. I think people get to caught up in the price thing. I have had some very good two and three dollar smokes as well as some 20 dollar dog rockets.

Phish I just got one of the PLPC not to long ago, I am looking forward to trying it.

I'm with Barcochris on this one - love those Choix - definitely my favorite stick - and pretty reasonably priced.

I have one of those in the Humi waiting for me to light it. I just don't know how old it is. I better give him a year, just for good measure.

My Favorites vary as you see. Most are in the $5-$6 range. The Gurkha Legend price varies by location but my favorite, the "Beast" goes for 20.

Absolute favorite? God of Fire by Carlito - I believe it was about 25 bucks and worth every penny.

Cheap smoke? Any LGC maddie, or RP 1992 - both around 5 bucks a stick.

There you go brother!

I am loving all these suggestions. I have not smoked most of them and I salivate just thinking about how good they sound.. lol

All round favorite ... Fuente Hemingway Short Story
