Seasoning Help Needed

Can somebody please tell me the correct RH level for when seasoning is done? Is it your normal storage RH or is it higher? I thought it was 70%, which I've been trying to acheive but after thee days its stuck at 63%. I have the Oasis in there, and its working hard. I also had two bowls of water in there up until last night and I've even misted the interior (I know--it was a very light misting though), but just cannot get it to rise any higher.

However, I store my cigars at 62%-64% though, so would I be right in stopping now and putting my cigars in?

The fridge isn't on now but when it was it was at 66 and had no discernable humidity fluctuations. There is a lot of wood, but I just didn't think it should stop at 63 and not even slowly rise. Plus the fridge is empty so I know thats part of it.


I've turned the oasis up which may have been the problem. I guess I'll see if it helps any later.

I put in two giant bowls of distilled water and turned the oasis up. It seems to have worked as its at 67 on the bottom and 71 at the top. I'll have to adjust the fan timer to cycle more often but at least I know the RH is rising.

I'm going to try using the Oasis with kitty litter to protect against overhumidification.

Its at 78% right now. Once it hits 80% I'll bring it back down to 63% and let it stabilize with some kitty litter. Then I'll load her up.

Its at 79 on the top and bottom now. If it doesn't hit 80 later tonight I'll bring it down anyway. Its already higher than it needs to be.
