CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA!!!!
Ok, here's the Cabinet I'm looking at. We decided to stay away from the walkin this go round do to our want to build a 150 gallon reef tank into the wall of the closet that would have been my walk in! Check the pics and give any suggestions you feel like...Other then send it your way! I'm thinking of getting three slanted shelves for display as this will be a nice addition to our game room and I want to proudy display some of my finer pieces as well as smoke them. One loose drawer at the bottom about where the glass ends, and leave the rest of the bottom for box stacking and aging. Thinking of getting the etched glass option...but I'm open for suggestions for or against, it's kinda pricey, but classes the whole thing up to the next level.

Weigh in!

I was thinking about getting an Aristocrat cabinet, but I decided to pay my morgage instead.

Enjoy, I'm fully jealous.

Pretty awesome indeed. I'd love to see that 150 gallon tank when its all finished.

absolutely beautifull you can't go wrong with a aristocrat. makes me very jealous enjoy :D :D

It'll probably end up a 75 bow front for the time being...but one can always hope for the best....Money sucking investments once you get a good reef tank started!! Live rock, corals, or frags, in habitants, cleaning crews....The list goes on and on...

Thanks for the comments, Really didn't find the cabinets that expensive when looking at the fact you are purchasing a hand made piece of solid wood furniture.....Just go to your local furniture stor and ask them how much they are charging for partial wood furniture!

Let alone something that will hold a RH and tempurature!

I want a M Plus, maybe at the end of the year.

But if you need help with the reef let me know. That i smy other passion. I just broke down my tank to put tile in and when I set it back up it is going to be a 125 reef.

The guy at Ikea looked at me funny :dunno:

that looks amazing!!!

150gal tank.. in the wall? I used to have A LOT of fish/coral tanks, my room smelled of salt and had chemicals everywhere, ahh the good times (an ex got angry at me... I don't have fish anymore...). But I'd be really interested your plans on putting this IN the wall, since 150gal with coral/sand equals about 1,450+ pounds.

Actually they are not "in the wall" but most of it is on a stand behind the wall and the tank looks like a picture. They are by far the most beautifull tanks in reefkeeping to me.

Barcochris got it first, the tank is not built into the wall but built on a support stand to meet the edge of the drywall flush and then framed in with trim to make it look like a living piece of art. It really is stunning, but I don't think it is going to happen in the next few years for us....

I'm looking at an Oceanic 75 gallon reef tank in cherry! That should definately get our reef started, and then later on, who know's. My wife an I both really love the thoughts of the tank, but not the mess and hassle of actually executing it....

I'd love to have an aristocrat. Well, I'd rather build one that size myself so I could say I did, but I'd still like a smaller aristocrat.

The display shelves would be a nice touch. But three would be an awful lot of high end singles. Why not two and then a couple shelves for high end boxes or display humidors?

The drawer in the hutch section is a little odd, it would be better looking if there were a few in the enclosed cabinet part.

I think that Bob also has the option for an accessory drawer that can hold all of your cutters, lighters, and traveldors, but is humidified so that it can also be used as a singles drawer if need be.

Oh, my, Eclipse Man. Look at what you're going and doing. And you can't do it better than going with Bob Staebell.

:eek:mg: :eek:mg: :eek:mg:

ECLIPSEMAN.....
one word......

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and Quag, I think he means 3 display shelves, for open boxes, not the trays for singles. I'd say that would be a terriffic set up. Give the feel of a tobacconists shop.
Wow is all I can say.

Rm hit it on the nose...no singles, just my really nice boxes. I have a few limited edition chests from Gurkha, Fuentes, RP,Oliva, so on, so, I would display those, the singles are put in a drawer.

Thanks Redleg...I will do my best...Though there will be many trades I'm sure that will help.

That is the cat's pajamas. I'll have come up from Rock Thrill when you get it in place!
