F*ing Jersey
We are waiting for Ernesto to come through here on the Outer Banks so I am taking a break from the fishing, swimming and treasure hunting to post a few pictures.

My son is using the pole that CastleCrest gave him to catch the first fish of our vacation! Over 20 caught in 4 days so far!

Stay safe during Ernesto, Kelvin. It blew through here in Charleston this afternoon. Just a lot of rain and some wind here, but it looks like it's gotten a bit stronger. Great opportunity to smoke cigars with work shut down, though.

Thanks, guys. Looks like the worst of it will pass through around midnight. Hopefully it blows out in the morning like they predict and the roads are intact.

Flashlights are ready and we are about to sit down to some board games now.

Other than the hurricanes - this place is paradise. I actually woke up the other morning and didn't realize what day it was. It's been years since that has happened.

"WHERES THE BOOTY"?!!?!?
Startin the kid out young, hunh Kevin?

Yes, I have been told on several occasions this vacation that I have been inappropriate. Hehe......

Kelvin, where's the eye patch and the bird on your shoulder. Arrrgh!

Weather should get good the rest of the Holiday!
Glad to see the Fishing Rod in use!
Now catch something so big you don't have LIE about it

We weathered the storm - just some screen damage - it was impressive and that wasn't even hurricane status (it was close though). Lots of wind this morning - we are packing up so that when the winds die down we can hit the beach (no swimming) and check out the waves.

LOL - my son wanted the parrot at the pirate store - and if you don't think I have an eye patch........

Loren....you should have seen the one that got away!!!!

Capt - that's our luck - something has to happen on a vacation - at least we didn't hit the medical center (that's a normal event on vacation - the pharmacy near Hersheypark has our whole family on file!

Well, we can't get off the island if we wanted to so we are going to relax and enjoy the ride!!!!!

Kelvin,
Glad to see you and your family are still in one piece.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation man!

Just got back from being out to sea yesterday. Caught the tail end of Ernesto. Nothing quite like lying in your bed on the ship and getting rocked to sleep.

Relaxing at the hotel in Winchester, Va - passed pretty close to you bkelm - we thought we would take the scenic route through the mountains - it is beautiful here also. Kids are in the pool and I am kicking back watching the RU - UNC game - out of cigars!!!! Smoked them at the wedding on Sunday.

Look forward to getting back home, though ... got some bombs to get out...........

We had a 1-2 second power blink at 1409 hours, fairly high winds all day. Then at 1524 hours, the power got knocked out until 1703 hours. About 1630 hours, the winds, which had gusted into the 30's all day, suddenly went much higher, almost scary high. The power may still go out again, who knows, but when we get high winds up here, it's something you have to deal with.
