I saw a bunch of Cohiba Qs at Busch Stadium Today

After the Cardinals claimed the World Series, I was walking around Busch Stadium with my friends and visited ballpark staples such as Mike Shannon's, TGIF, Hooters, and Paddy O's.

At each of these locations, I spotted individuals celebrating with a stogie in their hands and laughing it up with the rest of the Cardinals fans. The shock part of this observation was that ALL of these individuals were smoking Cohiba Qs.

Now, I'm pretty impressed by seeing just one person smoking a Cohiba around the ballpark. But 4 or 5 spread throughout downtown St. Louis? That's crazy.

The topper to the Cohiba madness was that I had eventually found the source to all of these nice stogies. A very drunk individual was hanging around Mike Shannon's with a cedar box in his lap with a glass top. I looked at the contents of the box and instantly recognized at least 20 or so Cohiba Qs just sitting there waiting for someone to light them up. The drunk guy was definately enjoying the atmosphere and looked like he savored those stogies.

I couldn't ask the guy about the smokes or whether or not they were for sale since I was with my friends who were both nonsmokers and we just wanted to head back to the car.

I didn't get tickets to the game, but I was next to that stadium from the first pitch to the closing of most of the downtown shops. Great game, great fans, and a great night. No riots today, just fans embracing each other and slapping out a bazillion high fives.

2006 World Series Champions baby!

I don't think you missed out on anything with those smokes....
Cohibas are the most counterfeited smokes out there. Especially the Espledidos. And when you mention a glass topped box, which to my knowledge, Cohiba does NOT produce......

You get the dreaded "Glasspledidos"......FAKES!

Glad your team won, though!

They put the glass top on them so you can see how nice they look.

Those glass tops are a special limited edition cuban..... They are made from the scraps of tobaccos that the rollers bring home.

I have one of those babys sitting in my humi right now. A buddy brought it home from Mexico for me, and was quite proud of it.

I plan on smoking it in the spring, and a review will follow!

Sorry about the cigars, does sound too good to be true huh? Some drunk giving out Qbans, lol. Congratulations on your team winning, I do beleive it was me that said this was the year of the Tiger a while back. Inexperience, tons of errors and some silent bats, the formula for not winning the World Series. Being a Tiger fan I am still pretty happy that we finally had a .500 season, let alone making the Series plus our future looks great, farm system is stocked, lots of young pitching and a great manager and GM.

All respect to the Cards though, congratulations, 1968-Tigers, 2006-Cardinals, 2007-the rubber match perhaps?
