Up Down Cigar Shop

Recently returned from a weekend get away my girlfriend surprise me with. I just wrote about it in my blog.

I had mentioned to her that I wanted to visit the Up Down Cigar shop in Chicago. She included plans to go by there on our trip. What an amazing woman if I must say so myself. If you get to the Chicago area that is one great shop to visit. Small in size but there is an amazing amount of inventory in there.

Yes...I used t olive one and a half bocks from there....great place...Never went into the shop....the owner isn't exactly the friendliest of ladies! :wink:

Dude,

When I get her age, I probably won't be too friendly either... lol. I can't imagine living that close and not visiting the shop.

I have been to it...

But I hung out, and still hang out anytime i'm in Cicago at Sullivans...speaking of, I need to re-stock the humi!

Alex, I hope you've saved some space in there...I need to travel light when coming to Chicago!

So did I missunderstand something in your first post. You said you have never been in to Up Down?

Where is Sullivans? Do they have a website? I am headed back to Chicago for business and I have a buddy that wants to smoke?

What I meant was I never go into...I don't frequent that shop...I was in it once before.

Sullivans is a great Steak house with a huge cigar lounge upstairs. It is on Dearborn and State, I believe. It's a great place to go for a cigar.

I would also recommend Nomi's at the Park Hyatt , as well as The Bar, in the Peninnsula - that's a great place to go when the weather is cold. They have a big fireplace with a dark setting. Good drinks, good food, great time!

One thing about Chicago it appears to be a very cigar friendly town!

For Now, it's one of the best cities in the country for cigar smokers! Tons of cigar friendly places, Tavern on Rush, Carmine's, almost all hotel bars, Steak houses....

I'm going back this Sunday for a week.....I CAN"T WAIT!!!!
