The Columbus Dispatch report posted immediately after the game said one of the lineman, Kirk Barton (a senior and over 21), was celebrating the win over that team from up north with Champagne and a $125 cigar--that he received from the ghost of Red Auerbach.

Yesterdays paper reported it was a $348 bottle of Dom and a cigar from an ISOM that was given to him by another player. He also broke rules by carrying the cigar into the press conference and will probably be disciplined by the coach.

Makes my celebration with an Opus X and beer pale, but I am not on a scholarship and had to pay for mine. Will be interesting to see if there is any other fallout from that.

Great story brother, it will be interesting to watch this one!!

He's a lineman. No one cares what we linemen do.

Well.................. they do want us to block for the MAN, but aside from involvment in a murder or rape, an offensive/defensive lineman can do what they want to..........as long as it's done on the \\\::::::::::////

You never know how the NCAA will react to different situations. They are liable to hang him up in the town square to make an example out of him as a warning to others!

Last year during our basketball season, someone gave Kevin Pittsnogle's wife and mother courtside tickets for a game --- WHOA NELLIE -- when the administrators saw that, they made them move back into the seats that the university had given the players for their families! The courtside seats sell for $1000 each for the season and could have gotten KP and WVU into trouble with the NCAA.
