Championship Game Cigars. . . .

Just lit a Savinelli Nicaraguan Reserve Churchill at 1735 hours, well aged, at least a year in my own humidors. These can take up to 18 months of aging and still taste rich and kick a little. After that, they can flatten out. My sentimental favorite is the Saints, but if the Bears win, they'll be richly deserving of a Super Bowl berth. This stick's for the winner!!!

Stay tuned for second game cigar.

Excellent choice on the Savinelli. I've had a few of those resting now for quite some time. I'll have to light one up sooner or later. Tonight, however, I might be partial to a RASS or PSD4.

Went out well wrapped up in wool jacket, gloves, scarf and wool hat and enjoyed a Padron 3000 before the games began. I was half tempted to take the television with me but thats a bit drastic.

Now that I'm back in the heat I am thinking that my second game cigar might have to be cancelled lol. I got a date with a warm couch and about 3lbs of nachos.

I don't know, Cloudy, there could be an Aurora calling your name.

LOL

For the Patriots-Colts, I lit at 2101 hours, a Fonseca ISOM, 5 1/4x42 with a beautiful reddish wrapper. So far, so good, rich, spicy, earthy, "dark" flavors.

Bloof,
I like those Fonseca PC's, I think you will too, nice and mild, but nice flavors

Lol! I have a couple Emerald Preferidos and Cien Anos that I am just waiting to smoke. I really want to enjoy those with feeling in my extremities though

I've got a few Graycliff Mike Ditka Championship Series 1985 PG sticks I traded for after the c.com deal on them about a year ago. I also bought a PGX before making that trade, so I've got 4 total left.

Naturally I'll be smoking one during the game- I've smoked a PG during each of their playoff games, and I'm planning on firing up the PGX for the Super Bowl.

After that I'm not sure. I'll probably go through 2 sticks during the game, and as the aged (haven't been made since 2000) Graycliffs aren't real strong I'll smoke that one first. My best guess is a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Oscuro double corona.

So, is anyone going to suck it up and burn one of the new Mike Ditka Championship Series 1985s I've seen at the local liquor store? They look nasty... made in the Phillipines with a thin looking light wrapper that appears to be a bit twisted. Sumatra Sumatra maybe?

It'll be a Graycliff and Opus day for me as well.

Start out with the Vintage 1999 while I BBQ, then a Ditka during the game and WHEN they win I'll more than likely fire up a Forbidden X!

How the heck do you BARBECUE from Baghdad???

OOOOOOPS, I forgot, it's 151 degrees at night. The WHOLE PLACE IS A BARBECUE PIT!!!

:eek:mg: :eek:mg: :bolt:

I guess you're not caught up on my situation.....

I'm home right now. Had to have surgery on my foot again to remove the screw. Once I heal, I'll be headed back.

Yes, I am. I was just kidding. All the best with the foot. Hey, when you hand me material, I have to run with it. :sm_angel: :bolt:

Roger that!

It was funny by the way.

When you watch these people who compete in all the big Food Network barbecue shows, they're always talking about the temperatures they keep the grills at. Yeah, we got the pig here cookin' 'bout hunnert sebny, hunnertaytee 'grees here, 'n' we'll keep that goin' fer 'bout the whole three days afore we serve it up.

And I'm thinking, hey, that sounds a lot like Iraq!!!

I have a couple Ditka Graycliff's lying around... I think that is in order! I'll have a couple other sticks lined up too...maybe a Opus 952R will do the trick! And definitely a Boli RC!

I may take a run at one of my Gurkha Titans since I'll be in a cigar friendly bar.

Well the games over and alas the Bears lost, but at least I got some good cigars in during the game.

I started out with a Graycliff Mike Ditka just before kick-off. At half time I took a burger break, then around the end of half time I fired up a Punch Gran Puro. One might think of it as another Ditka tribute, but I really took it along just because it was a tubo. That was a fairly short smoke, so part way through the 4th quarter I finished up with a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero double corona in the Oscuro wrapper which lasted well past the end of the game.

What did the rest of you fire up for the game?

I smoked an Opus 952R, a cusano Grand Cuvee, and a Tatuaje Havana VI Victorias....

Great lineup....too bad the bears couldn't keep up with it!

RyJ Churchill and a RAG. Here's a couple of pics of the last moments of the RAG. I'm sporting my newest cigar accessory; the tooth pick! Got to get every millimeter of that baby!

Tim, I think you're going to start a new trend.
