Congratulations, I think. As someone who became a member of K.O.L.D. (Knights Of [the] Living Dead) last fall, I can well sympathize. But just think of the benefits. You can join AARP, and you can tell your family that you're not making it for Thanksgiving, and just sit home, watch football and eat what you really feel like eating, alone and in peace, without pretense and ceremony, hee, hee, heee!!!

As for cigars, hmmmmmmmmmm, do you like them with medium strength and bold flavor? Are you a guy like me, who likes weak cigars but still with some flavor to them? Or are you a Manly Man who likes full bodied, strong cigars that could knock out King Kong within the first two inches? It does matter, and suggestions will abound if you can narrow it down.

thanks boof. i like all kinda but go for the mid to full body ones..anythings better then the dutch masters i have been smoking.thats why i asked about a good to get with my lil money i want to get a good one...

One cigar I can think of that will not let you down for a special occassion would be an AVO 80th. If you can find one, they are expensive, but a very nice cigar. I mean it is your 50th, smoke something special, you only turn 50 once in your life.

Next on the list would be a GOF if you can get your hands on one it will not let you down to be sure. There you go my friend, and many happy returns on your special day.

If I can recommend one domestice cigar for a special occasion it would be the Opus X Double Corona. It has great flavor, nice body, and just smokes like a dream. It is a nice 1.5 to 2 hour smoke so you feel like you are getting your money's worth.

Just my .02

The big 50 calls for the best I think, so I'll toss out one of my personal favorites- Perdomo Edicion de Silvio. I'm particularly fond of the maduro, though the natural & Cameroon wrappers are very nice too. I'll second the OpusX too... another very fine smoke. They're all in the $25-35/stick range, depending on where you get them.
