5 vegas cigars?

I like the sampler pack and was wondering what you all think of them? I notice they say mild flavour for some of them but i was wondering would that just turn them into weak cigars? I sorta thought the " gold bar" presentation box was tacky.

Unless I'm a pornographer.

5 Vegas cigars are pretty well regarded around here. My personal favorite is the Series A. I think you'll find that they are very flavorful. Don't knock 'em just because they're cheap and the box is tacky.

The Limitada is a fantastic smoke.

OHHHHH YEA!!!!! I am a fan of the whole line. Nice and inexpensive, but very robust and consistent!

You'll like that sampler pack. And after you burn through it you'll probably order more Limitadas just like I did  The Series A is a great, affordable daily smoke. The Limitada costs a bit more but as Elidog said, it's fantastic.

The Gold is mild & goes great w/a morning cup of joe. None of the others are mild at all IMHO. Smooth maybe, but not mild.

I'm with Puff on this one - great to bring a thermos of coffee to the course in the morning with a Gold Churchill!

Great smoke. I keep a box of the 5 Vegas Classic Corona in my jeep. It is the perfect short drive smoke.

I'm going to agree with these guys. I like the entire line. Got a couple of the Cask Strength I'm going to try soon. Just got a sampler that has 7 each of the Classic, Gold, and Series A Double Coronas. Still have most of a box of Gold robustos in the coolerdor as well.

some people say my taste in cigars is spot on.

some say im way off base.

i dont care about either of them.

in my catalog i gave the 5 Vegas series "A" a 9.3 of 10
I gave the limitada a 9.0 of 10

the gold i gave an 8.3 but this is logical because i love strong cigars.

the classic... well, i think it was a bad stick. Every classic i have smoked has burned well, tasted good, and been very relaxing...

...except the one i choose to put in my catalog. it got a 7.7

all in all, get the sampler, and then get a box of your favorite and let em sit a month or two.
you wont be upset.

P.S. if anyone wants to gift me a cask strength id be more then happy to accept it.

I might very well have the only negative response on this thread, and possilbly this entire forum. I didn't care at all for the Gold. I read somewhere that is had "hints of grass" or something. It tasted more like I licked in the inside of my Toro mulcher. And the series A, I found to have a very tight draw to my liking.

However I must say, tastes aside, they are VERY well constructed cigars.

You are not alone on the Gold. I am not a fan. Tastes like cigarettes to me. I don;t really like an Conn wrapped cigars anymore. Used to be a big fan of the C18, but don't even like those anymore.
I am, however, a BIG fan of the 5 Vegas A. Maybe you just got a crappy one?

That very well could have been the case. More than likely it was just me. I think I mentioned it before and got the response "maybe it was just the luck of the draw" - LOL.

I should note that the Classic is indeed a very good cigar. Very good bang for the buck.

This may sound odd, but the best 5 Vegas I have had have always been the torpedos, especially with the Classic Series. For some reason they burn and flavor is just better to me, which is odd, because I never used to be a fan of the torpedo, I think they look funny. I've had some Classic robustos that were duds, and the panatelas aren't as good as the robustos IMHO, but the torpedos have always been great smokes regardless of what series they were. Just my $.02

Well I have something different to say about these cigars.

Who am I kidding ; this is one of my favorite non Q*ban cigar lines. Never had one I didn't like. They are great.

Well, from the sound of things, I guess I should give these a try. I haven't had any yet. Guess I'm behind the curve. Oh well, story of my life. :D

I LOVE 5 vegas cigars... my first taste into the real handmade cigar world was a 5 vegas sampler and it certainly set me straight... my very first handmade was a 5 vegas gold (the least highly acclaimed of the 5 vegas line) and I liked it soo much I bought a whole box of them. The limitada is even better...

I am just surprised that I don't see them in the local cigar shops...
