I love the Rocky Patel Edge - Toro in the Corojo wrapper. Lots of spice and full-bodied. On the other end of the spectrum I also love the Diamon Crown Robusto #5, (mild and smooth) and the Moore & Bode Flamboyan blends, also much more mild. Neither figure into my rotation much, in fact I have neither in my humidor at present as they are too rich for my blood.

Now, Cigar.com has their special on the RP Connecticut sampler.

I know nothing about them. They got some nice reviews, but lots of pans on the http://www.top25cigar.com/ website.

Also, they have the RP Vintage segundos. Also some good and bad reviews.

What are your thoughts. If I place an order, I'd get the sampler and some RP Vintage Segundo Robustos.

SO, what are your thoughts? Given that this is probably my disposable cigar income for the next 6 months in one shot, I want to make it good. I like the idea of 35 cigars for $100, well basically.

I've only tried the the RP Connecticut once. It was given to me in a PIF by one of the fine folks here (sorry, don't remember exactly which one). Thinking it was merely just an ok cigar, I wasn't expecting much of it and basically lit it up one morning w/a cup of brazilian coffee just to get rid of it. To make it short, I was completely blown away. I consider it to be the best of the Connecticut wrapped cigars I have smoked. Creamy and mild, it's a great morning or lunchtime smoke, but I prefer a cigar with more punch come the evening. If you like mild cigars that actually have flavor, you'll probably enjoy it. My opinion may be biased though, as RP have become one of my favorite smokes.
