John,

I bought a few of them and have them in the humi now. I believe I will be firing one up over the weekend. I will try my best to give you a decent review after I smoke it.

I didn't have the time over the weekend to sit down and really enjoy this . I don't smoke $25.00 cigars that often, so I need to make sure I can really kick back for a good hour and a half or so. Hopefully i'll get to it this week and will try a review for you.

man, i hear that.

i save my $25 per's for something very special.

im looking forward to the review

The last time I spent that much cash on a cigar, it was a GOF, and that was the best cigar I have ever smoked.

Any cigar that comes with that kind of price tag has a pretty big challenge ahead of it to match the quality of a GOF.

This cigar is one of my babies. We made it last Feb when I was in Honduras which is why you can only get it at Cigar.com. I have my picture taken with the actual bales of cuban leaf while I am smoking one of the cigars. It is truly an exceptional smoke, lots of flavor.

Thanks for the feedback Alex! I just ordered a few from you guys so im very excited.

Some state the a Pre-Embargo cigar can not possibly be good because of how old the tabacco is. I personally completely disagree.

One of the best cigars that I ever smoked was from a local store in CT when I lived near Hartford. They had pre-embargo tabacco in their warehouse and would hand roll a cigar right in front of you. Pretty expensive at $18/Cigar, but it was in the top 5 cigars I ever smoked. I have smoked Cubans all the way up to Cohiba Esplendido and the pre-embargo is everything a Cuban is, only much stronger!!! Knocked me out after 1/2 of the cigar.

I look forward to trying PE whenever I can.

My friend just moved out there and I am going to have him purchase some and ship to me. I can not remember the name of the store, so if anyone from Middletown area knows what I am talking about please let me know.

yea, I'm looking forward to working with Tim and possibly getting my hands on a few, aI am really looking forward to trying one of these when I get the chance

I am really suprised hearing what you guys are saying!
I've smoked many pre-embargo cigars in my day.
I've had some that were rolled back in the day & some of
the stored type rolled in the last few years.
Never have I had one come close to a well aged top of the line Cuban cigar. I find tobacco losses some of it's flavor at these ages.
I understand people not having smoked much Cuban tobacco & finding how novel getting to smoke Cuban tabacco is, BUT!

I will have to contact Alex for a stick & not say it can't be possible.
I just highly doubt it!
I'd have to taste it with my own mouth to believe it!
IMHO -

I'll have to let you all know how they are. I purchased a 6 pack in last Fridays "One Day Deal" from cigar.com. It was an excellent buy so I couldn't pass it up.
