Oasis XL or XL plus?

If you live in a dry environment, Cigar Oasis would probably be the way to go. If you don't, I'd look into RH Beads. Cigarmony.com is a great company that has beads for pretty much any size humidor. Beads will regulate humidity, i.e. add humidity if it is needed or absorb some if your humidor is getting moist. If you were still seeing 59% without having a humidor seal very well, it's likely you live in a place where you won't need too much moisture added to your humidor. Here's the website:

If you are set on getting an oasis, I'm sure someone else will be able to help you out. Good luck!

I have the XL Plus. I would highly recommend this one as you can set your desired humidity levels.

I have that exact humidor. Bought it about 3 months ago from that same vendor.

I have also been seriously thinking about the Oasis or Oasis Plus. It's a decent humidor, seals well, and I am happy with it, BUT the 3 "extra large" credos that it comes with aren't quite up to the task.

Before you buy it, you should probably know that the bottom drawer is a separate area that will hold quite a few cigars, but it is not connected to the main area of the humidor. So whatever humidification you get for the top area, you'll probably want to consider something for the drawer if you'll be storing cigars in there. I think I have pretty much decided to get either the Oasis or Oasis Plus (not sure which one yet) for the top area, and I'll use a combination of credo and beads in the bottom drawer. Right now my plans are to store my "everyday" smokes in the drawer and use the top part to age a couple of boxes as well as keep a large number of singles on the trays.

Good luck with your purchase! I think it's a very nice humidor for the price. (And a tip.... when you're browsing their website, navigate away from the page before you buy anything. A lot of times they give you a pop-up window with a 5% off offer, and you can use that to get a discount.)

Personally I use both the CO and the beads. The CO is great, but the downside to the CO is that it cannot remove excess humidity. Also, the beads aren't really that expensive, so I'd suggest looking into them first. If the beads aren't enough, then you can shell out the 80 bucks or so for the CO.

Wife got me a beautiful end table humidor for my birthday in August. She got the Oasis XL and it works great! I have it set on 68% and it holds beautifully!
