When you try a new brand for the first time, either by random, or by way of review or ad, what size do you go to for your first tasting?

i like a toro the best. 1 hour and 30 min is the perfect time for me 90% of the time. cool smoke at the speed that i naturally smoke.

good stuff. if you look back at my reviews im sure you will see that a dippraportionate amount of reviews are of toros (or 6 x 50 ish figurados)

I like robustos they seem to be the perfect size when trying a new cigar.

I like robusto's too. It is just the right size in terms of time of smoke and ring size. Just the way I like them I guess.

Count me as another robusto. But it depends also on what's available, I aim for the most robusto-like if nothing else.

I think that size is a good balance, the rest you can contribute some general rules to. Narrower burns hotter, longer burns longer, etc. So by having a "control" in the middle you can make some assumptions about the rest of the line.

Robustos are my fav. I like the larger ring. But, it's short enough that I don't have to devote too much time away from rest of society.

Here's another vote for the robusto, although sometimes I'll go for the toro or the corona instead. Depends on my mood, really.

I prefer a robusto when trying a new size as well, but I've been smoking more lanceros lately. Unfortunately, a lot of cigars don't come in this size as it's not a popular one here in the U.S.

I used to love churchill's but I've been all robusto's all the time for a while now. With the occaissional torp.

Toro it is for me, 5 x 50 seems to fulfill most of my requirements, and that is what I have the most of in my humidor!!

This is a hard question to answer. Most of my smoking is done on the Golf Course so I like large ring cigars and long because I do not want to be continually lighting cigars. If I am on the deck in the morning a robusto is the perfect size. If it is in the afternoon and I am having a caesar or Guinness I prefer the larger cigar. I guess I took a whole paragraph to say “it depends”.

I gotta go with coronas. They just seem to work for me. I smoke slowly so they usually don't get hot.

Robusto for me. I don't really know why. Its just the size that I tend to buy when I go to the B&M. I like a cigar to last about an hour or a few minutes longer. A robusto seems to smoke in about 75min. for me and thats about right for my current schedule. (tho I have stretched them out much longer)

I usually don't have a not of time to smoke, so a robusto is perfect.

Otherwise, if I'm out golfing, I'll light up a couple of toros or churchills.

Viva la robusto !! my wife doesn't like when I smoke my cigars upstairs so I these large gage heaters outside (in the cold) or in the basement.

"chodes"

Large rings and shorter lengths.

Around 5x54ish, etc
