I recently got the go ahead to smoke a pipe in the house, mainly because the smell is pleasant. What is the most pleasant smelling cigar for the non smoker...maybe I can slide one in

Big no-no for me, wife has asthma. I do love the smell from the"pipe drawer" in the China cabinet, though!

Anyone have a cigar that they have experienced to be "pleasant" more so than other cigars people have commented on? My fiancee had once told me that she likes the smell of 5Vegas classic more than other cigars....what have you had comments on?

My kids like the smell of Banana Phillies. I've also been told that the smell of a RASS is pleasant compared to some others that I smoke.

I can't help you with your cigar question, but I can tell you this is the best smokers candle I've ever tried. If you burn it while smoking and for a few hours after it, in my experience, really does take the smell way down.

The ones from walmart/discount stores don't seem to work to well.

I need to pick a few up myself...

mmmm....hemp seed oil.....

I was complimented once on the smell of La Flor Domincana Double Ligero Chisel I was smoking once. It was by a female who claimed to hate the smell of cigars.

Keep in mind, this is a full bodied smoke if your a newbie take this one sitting down.

I do not think my wife has ever complimented me on the smell of any cigar, infact, I usualy get. YOU STINK.

The last Chisel I had, I was sitting outside on the deck with the door to the house shut and the storm door shut and my wife came outside to complain that I was "stinking" up the house.

That's pretty amazing that you got a compliment on the smell of a Chisel.

I just purchased some Rocky Patel OSG and my wife complimented how it smelled good. "A mild sweet smell" as she put it. Most cigars smell like burning leaves to her.

Ok, sweet, now we're getting somewhere...

Sniff-off so far includes:

1) La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel
2) Rocky Patel OSG

keep 'em comin'...

What about a maduro like an anejo, or a maduro hemingway?

I know these are not real cigars, but do the acid sticks give off a nice aroma? Seems like they would since they are "infused" with plant oils.

Just a thought.

Some do. Try an Acid Liquid. Smelled great and any infusion was well balanced and not at all outrageous. More of a smoother and enhancer than a flavoring. Kind of like Tung oil on wood instead of paint.

And yeah, they are "real", just different :)

I got 2 things (maybe 3 to say)

1st aged cigars smell better than fresh!
2nd - Cuban cigars smell better.
Being somewhat of a gambler - Dealers always coment my cigars smell better than most.

Now 3rd - this sounds like a wife trap.
They always say that till after the wedding!
GET IT IN WRITTING!!!!!
