My only buys of these were some Gran Habano CT churchills and they weren't too bad. I also bought a cheap box of unnamed factory overruns that weren't too good. Why do these things exist ? I spotted some Gurkha overruns, but not knowing of what, I'm not buying.

Tony, take a chance - if you like Ghurkas, you would probably like their overruns. I have purchased RP over runs a couple of times, and enjoyed them quite a bit. Gran Habano Vintage is another one that is priced like an overrun, and is a very good cigar. Keep an eye on the auctions, and some times they have "buy it now" bundles at very good prices.
