Wow! A new forum that I didn't even know was here. I guess Syntax ran everybody off of the cigar forum, when he was still on. Is it possible that someone can give you a headache from behind a computer screen?? I was wondering where everybody ran off to!! Glad to see some friends here.

Megan had me up early this morning with her morning sickness and nausea, so I made a pot of Montecristo 1935 Havana Blend. A great cup of rich and full bodied coffee to keep me up for the rest of the day!! Great coffee, if you have not tried it, I do recommend it.
 
The MARINES HAVE LANDED!!! Wow, not sure how it was you didn't know this forum existed, but it's great to have you on. We need more folks on the Coffee & Tea forum, anyway. This is my first time back on line in 24 hours, so I'm not sure what's up on Cigars, but I know there's been some action. I'll head over and see what's up.

Folks, give this weary Marine, weary because he's a Marine and a Jets fan, a cup of coffee and an Ottoman to put his feet on. Give him a magazine and a remote for the big 60" plasma, and I'll be back around later.

I think it is a dumb move, but oh well. Bradway is already looking at trading down the 4th round pick, and letting everyone know. Even if Leinart and Bush even get through and is there the 4th pick, Bradway will mess it up!

Muahahaha - I love this forum - I've been trying a few home roasted coffees and I'm thinking about jumping into that pot too. Have to get the wife behind me on that - she already thinks I have too many things that I like doing that cost money...
 
I want to do the roasting, but I will be hard to talk my wife into it. Brenda, how did you use a popcorn popper to roast?
 
Cybrus, tell your wife that by becoming a home roaster, you will reduce your coffee bill by one half once you finish with start-up costs. And from what I understand, start-up costs are minimal.
 
Bloof - that's the plan (I'm getting all my numbers ready so I can hit her with the facts all at once) - the only problem is that her brain seems to shut off as soon as she hears any of the following: spend, money, buy. I've also noticed a strong wariness whenever the following are spoken: "Hey, take a look at this", "It's not that expensive", "we'll save money in the long run"

I keep bumping up against this whenever I mention cigar.com, the AR-15 I want to buy, scotch, etc...

I might have to think about this home roasting thing! I buy at least 6 cups of coffee a day at work. Even when I am home, I'll run out to get milk, bread, the paper, and always have to get a cup o 'joe!

Personally, I am glad to have him. I think that he will do well here in KC, and might just give our deffense a WELL needed boost!

I haven't roasted yet. I just placed my first order for raw green coffee beans. I bought a Poppery II for a couple of bucks from a yard sale. The folks over a cwise.com turned me on to this home roasting. Check this out:

Well, USMC6672, what you need in addition to the roaster, and a minimum eight cup (says "8 cup" on the box, that's really Euro Measure, only comes out to U.S. 32 oz., which means on a food chart, it's 5 1/3 cups), is also a Krups carafe, 32 oz., which can keep coffee piping hot for 10-14 hours. You'll have so much more money in your pocket, you can spend it on . . .

Well, not to thread jack, especially in my position, but what I really say is revamp COMPLETELY the offensive line, add a quality linebacker, add a quality defensive lineman, and outside of just calling better plays, the only thing to do on offense is give Bollinger the first eight games to show his stuff before you decide on a game plan at quarterback. I'm interested to see what guy with the name like a "G-Man" can do given free rein over at least half a season.
 
Bloof, you also recomended the Krups carafe to me, but I have had a hard time finding one online...I don't leave the house unless I have to...lol j/k. Anyway, which carafe are you refering to?
 
It's like a thermos style thingy, silver body, black top, keeps coffee hot for hours. Leaving the house soon, but a Google search should yield some results.
