I just got off the phone with Macallan, and I had a sudden Idea. What if we were to have a coffee box pass? We could each buy a pound of coffee, divide it up according to how many people are in, and we each take a different blend when it get to us. Just a thought, I wanted to bring some life to this forum, since I will be here on "vacation".

I have Kauai Peaberry and Costa Rican Tarrazu. Anyone in?

I would DEFINITELY be in for this - I can get quite a few different coffees from a shop downtown - very good stuff.

Would we each try to put something different in?

Yea, we could divide our coffee to how many people are in, that way we can try each others favorites.

souds like a great idea, Capt. I thikn that you would have to tell eachother what you were putting in though, so that you don't end up with mulitples of the same kind of coffee.

Sure! I am thinking I am going to out in Kauai Peaberry, since it is my favorite, and I was going to send some to Brenda anyway.

I am not yet ready to jump into the coffee thing, but once I get started, I would be willing to join in on a coffee pass like this. (first I have to stock my coolerdor and recover from creditcard shock!)
:eeek:

Capt.

This is a great idea - I would like to get in on this too - we have a great coffee shop down the road from me and I would like to start trying different blends. Is there a price range I should be looking at for this?

Thanks,

Kelvin

I guess you should also specify if you are only passing roasted coffee, or green. I know not everyone is into roasting yet... my .02

Roasted, whatever you want to spend. I get the Peaberry for about $15 a pound.

OK here is the list, sign up soon! I want to get this started!

Cybrus, sorry I missed that post.

Any more?

I am assuming that the box will go around twice, so that everyone in the list gets a sample of all the coffees? And remember, the more people you have (at 1 lb. each) the heavier the package will be...
