and everyone ran away?

another sleepy forum......COME ON FOLKS!

I am a coffee newbie, I need the info from you grizzled vets. Where's the cup of the day, suggestions, new grinders, roasters, fire trucks, clowns, cotton candy, motorcycles, guns....
:2guns:

I agree. Sorry, I'm a bit tapped out right now. Every now and then someone comes along to wake up this forum. Then I'll start blathering and things will get hopping again.

Speaking of waking up, I'm enjoying a Freedom Press of Guatemala Coban, roasted by Oren's in NYC. I was hoping to be hitting the shower and getting ready for work, but my supervisor just told me don't bother. She didn't know why it wasn't busy, but I told her that Mother's Day weekend is practically a national holiday. Then she said she didn't know attorneys had mothers. :cryinlaugh: :rotflmao: :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh:

I told her they were all in the process of making sure that their trophy wives were satisfied with all the amenities and preparations tomorrow, lest they smite their husbands with a curse.

So, I'll enjoy my coffee and find something else to do. Of course, making some dough would have been nice, but tonight is . . .

God's Will. :dunno:

And of course, I'm Sergeant Schulz. I know nothing. :duh: :cryinlaugh:

And Pops, while I have you on the line, I'd like to thank you for jumping in to the forums with all your contributions and discussion. You have indeed been very helpful.

Well, 1:30 am and I just finished some painting. Brewed up a mixed pot of coffee to keep me up. Had a few scoops of several different flavored coffees and dumped them all together - turned out pretty good actually!

Yeah, they call that a Monkey Mix on Cigar Wise. I've done that a number of times through the years, when there isn't enough of one type of bean to make a pot by itself. Very interesting what one can come up with, especially when you've got three or more coffees in the mix.

Who you callin' a monkey???

I had some Mayorga Kenya AA that my brothr gifted me with a while back. Now I'm no goormey like Bloof, but I liked it! I found it to be bright and a little fruity maybe. The wife took a travel mug of it to work, so I guess I done good...

Oh yeah, Kenya AA, one of my all-time favorites. Bright and fruity is right, you've got a good palate there.

That's right Americans,
3 out of 3 East Coast coffee drinking cigar smokers who hang on a gun-afiliated website agree-
Kenya AA is good stuff

And a South Coast coffee drinking cigar smoker who hangs on a gun-affiliated website agrees, too.

Kenya AA is excellent.

And, a Southwest American who is deathly afraid of guns yet posts on a gun-afiliated forum also agrees Kenya AA is a mightly fine bean.

Deathly afraid Brenda?

You should come visit Pittsburgh. You could visit Vince's Qtr Deck, meet me and Ravyn and RazorKing and any/all of us would be more than happy to take you for some basic shooting familiarization. If you come with me, I pay for ammo/range time - you just have to show up! I'm pretty laid back and work at your pace.

Thanks, cybrus. I'm a pacifist and a vegetarian. I have to use for guns.

 LOL! Now, Scotch, cigars and coffee. . .

Nope. Building's still here. The porch light is on, but nobody's home.

Oh, I may as well chime in with something. I recently had the pleasure of a gift from one of my HCF friends. A cigar and 3/4 lb. of a new coffee that a certain outlet is offering. The coffee is a blend of South American and African beans, going by the name of "Negrita." This is a fine new coffee from a fast rising star in the world of coffee called . . .

Give it a shot, great stuff.

Hopefully we can help you with that phobia.

I've been buying my beans from Peets which is a chain started in the Bay Area. Their coffee is a lot more fresh, The beans still glisten with oils from roasting. Everything else where I live is looks like it's at least a month old. I recently tried Peets Sulawesi (Celebes) and the Sumatra which were excellent.

Peet's is great. One of my internet cigar friends sent me some Peet's along with cigars years ago. I forget which one(s) he sent me, but it/they was/were great. Peet's is one of the Olympics Gold Medalists, if I remember correctly, of the coffee roaster industry. Over at HCF, someone put up a post naming the top folks in the business, and a couple others chimed in to either affirm or add. It's a short list, and Peet's is right up there.

Ah, coffee - unfortunately, I'm spinning in the coffee doldrums right now. Freedom Press cracked (next one will rest in my gun safe when not being used - that'll teach those varmints). And due to sudden obligations, I've become a stranger at the local coffee roaster and have to settle for my store bought Eight O'Clock coffee (like beer and ammo, there is ALWAYS coffee in my house, just the quantity/quality changes).

Ah well - I could always sell a kidney or my wife. (Don't tell her I said that)
