Texas Roasters

Anyone have experience with Texas coffee stores that roast their own beans? Here in San Antonio we have one over on Huebner Road, but no others I know of. I've have been very happy with the price and quality of the roasts. I can't recall any in Houston, DFW, or College Station off hand, but any info would be appreciated.

There is the Texas Coffee Company over in Beaumont - they make "Seaport" Coffee among other things (they are also the source of Texjoy brand spices). http://www.texjoy.com/store/c/4-Coffee.aspx I understand they have a direct sales store at the plant in Bmt., but their products can be found at wal-mart and various grocery stores... Not sure if that is what you had in mind, but it's the only outift I know of that roasts coffee around here.

Thanks for the info Mark. I try to avoid Beaumont, but if I go through there again I'll check it out.

There's a new shop opening in Rockwall, on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard, just east of Dallas. Opening in about 2 weeks. The anouncement says they're going to be roastin'
