Sunday Morning Coffee

I am working on a pot of Purivan organic french roast this morning, well its afternoon now, but I find this is a great all around coffee, great in the early morning with a cigar, good in the afternoon with a cigar , & late in the evening with a cigar, Hummmm do you see a patern here, it is great with a cigar, stuff like breakfast blend is fine in the morning with a nice wake up kick, but I dont want that robust hit late in the day, I make my coffee strong & drink it black, & the Kona on Sunday mornings has found a contestant for the bragging rights to the Sunday Morning coffee !, it will take a lot of time & experamentation, but I fell I am up to the task at hand, I will let you all know when the research is concluded! Enjoy, Vince

Yeah Vince, tell us about that genuine Hawaiian Kona!!! My favorite coffee right after Jamaican Blue Mountain, but I don't know if we'll ever see decent Jamaican Blue Mountain again, so I defer to Kona as my favorite, especially as a coffee to start your day with.

I took the wife for a cigar drive tonight , listened to some great music in the car & stopped at a starbucks drivethrough, got her a frapichino, some kind of a slushy ice coffee drink with a lot of whipped cream on top , & I asked what was the coffee of the day instead of the DBL. espresso I normally get , & the girl said they had Godzilla coffee, a dark roast Sumatra , WOW, it was stronger than the espresso ! cant wait till Monday, Need to get a BIG one !!!!, it went great with the Florditita maduro torp !
I havent bought any Blue mountain in a long time, just way to much $$$$$ , Kona isnt far behind, the Kona blends are cheep & taste cheep, so I would rather have a good Columbian than a knoa blend & it is cheeper than the Kona blend , Humm maby I should repost this on the coffee board !

Enjoy, Vince

Yes, $40 a pound is too much to pay for the Jamaican Blue Mountain that's going around today, compared to what was famous 15-25 years ago. As for genuine pure Hawaiian Kona, not a Kona blend with Central American beans, yes, I'll pay $30 a pound, but I don't have that kind of cash as much as I'd like to have Hawaiian Kona around.

And yes, this is the coffee forum. Sounds like someone put down the coffee and picked up the single malt scotch.
