Ok...remember the forum rules..

1) There will be no vendor discussion allowed on the open forum.

2) There will be no price discussion on the open forum.

3) Please do not ask "were can I get XXX Cigar" one it will go against forum policy and two it is bad form.

Following these rules...

What is the law on possesing, buying, owning, smoking, etc., Cuban cigars. I want to know this inside and out...I want to be the guy in the movie that people go to cuz I'm the world's foremost authority on this topic.

and.....go.

Buying, possesing, owning and smoking Cuban cigars is illegal, no matter how you cut it. Unless it is Pre-embargo, you are in violation of federal laws.

If you decide you feel lucky and want to order them from various internet sources, you just may receive a letter with the US Customs emblem on the envelope.

What if I come back from a different country, am I allowed to bring any home?

You said owning or even possesing is illegal...I thought it was an issue with cuba making any money off the cigar in your hand...tax money or whatever...I don't know..that's why I'm asking...

Nope,

An American citizen cannot posses a Cuban cigar or an Cuban product ANYWERE in the world.
Nor are they allowed to bring any Cuban products back

that's the rules.

Even if you went over seas, you still CANNOT purchase Cuban goods if you are a US citizen. Plain and simple. Just do a search for Cuban Embargo, you'll get all your answers.

Here is a weird follow up question to ponder on. If experts believe that 90% of cubans in the entire world are fake, then technically only 10% of the time would you be breaking the law. Can customs determine whether a cigar is cuban or not if some experts can not determine this?

Does not matter much. If they BELIVE that it is Cuban (even fakes have bands that say Havana) they are Cuban and subject to seizure.

I know, I just thought that it was an interesting idea. I would never try bringing them across the border with the labels, box, or anything that states havana on it.

Doesn't matter. Same as if you were buying cocaine, and it was really powered sugar, the intent is still there.

My .02,
It is not Illegal for over sea's vendors to sell Cuban cigars only for us to buy them!!!

It is in part why it is so easy for them to screw over people living in the USA.
Who are you going to complain to???

(Althou some credit cards do offer some protection)

I have the ultimate solution to this problem.

You all should just become Canadian citizens, then you can smoke them any time you like!!!

Yea but the price would be far to high. You can buy 5 isom's in Canada or buy the whole box elsewhere for the same price.
