Unless the person is going to a LCDH whatever they buy are

USUALLY THE PRICE AIN'T RIGHT TO START with!
But - trust me when I tell you there are no real Cuban cigars
on or around cruize ships- no not never!!!!
It don't matter what they say (who they know)
I ain't saying there aren't cigars that taste good.
BUT!
Don't fool yourself hoping beyond hope - They AIN'T!!!!
Want to know how I know?
Trust me - I DO KNOW!
unless they go to the LCDH you ain't smoking the real thing!

I have to disagree. If you have been to certain islands enough, you know where to find them. There is a very nice shop in the Cayman islands that does sell REAL cubans, and they are not cheep. Granted, it is not located along the main tourest areas, but it is there and is very upscale. I have a feeling that other islands are the same way.

My sister recently brought me back 2 Cohiba's from a Cruize she went on. At first i suspected she got ripped off, but after I compaired them to others, either they are really good fakes or they are real. I was actually on my way out the door to the B&M to meet up with a friend who purchases only Havana cigars to have him compair the bands. IMHO, the band looks to be real, but the stick is darker than a normal Cohiba. I will keep you updated on this.

I agree that most places along Cruize stops are selling fake (especially the 8 year old with the box of Cohibas walking along the beech in Cost Mya), but if you have frequented certain islands enough and you know where to look and who to ask, you can find real Cuban cigars. Thats just MHO.

I'd take that bet!

Is it a LCDH???
If so then yes - if not - I doub't it highly!

Yes, LCDH is one of them. But, being that close to the docks, is still a little touresty to me. When I am there, we try NOT to venture into G-town The other is further west from G-town past 7 mile beach about half way to the turtle farm, right above Captin Marvins. Very unknown, except to people who stay there often. IMHO, it is much better than LCDH, I can not remember the name to save my life right now...Let me do some calling around and see if I cant figure it out.

I have heard that you can also get good ones at Fosters Food Fair, the local G. Store.

BTW, after much compairison, the Cohibas seem to be real. We compaired bands, smell, and swirls in the foot of the cigar, all look very real. I have decided the only real way to tell is to smoke it

my parents picked me up a couple 3-packs from an lcdh in aruba just a week or so ago, they said it was one of the most beautiful stores they've been, not just including cigar shops....i've smoked both an edmundo and a coro from each pack- they were fantastic!
