Hello everyone! My name is David. 36 yo from Southern California. I just moved up here to Salem OR a few months back and LOVING IT HERE! Its been raining since i stepped out the car and hasn't stopped yet! (something i didnt get growing up lol) I started smoking cigars on a daily bases about six months ago when i quit smoking cigarettes and pot. I found that it gives me time to think , work on my patience and read more. I smoke anywhere from 3 to 5 stogies a day. My daily burner is the Thompson rum twist, its a cherry rum corona that actually taste like cherry rum, the only flavored cigar i like, and it quickly took up a large part of my humi! I also love anything Don Pepin or Tatuaje, i got loooots of tattoos so it was a natural for me. I have not found a favorite yet, a front runner is the Hemminway by Arturo Fuente. My wife has been smoking with me too, her favorite is the Alec Bradley New Yorker.

Right now in my humidor=
Alec Bradley, New Yorker, Prensado, Tempus, Black Magic and the American
Casa Magna Colorado box press and perfecto(which i swear is a completly different blend!)
My Father, Le Bijou, Flor de las Antillas and La Duena's
3 Reynas ( yummmmm)
Estillo by Drew Estate
Perdomo Champaign Noir
Opus X lost city, FF Chatauex, Anejos and Hemmingways and a slew of other individuals.
Always have at least a hundred of my rum twists by Thompsons
Heaven Red Devils too ( not to sure how i feel bout them though )
and my wife had some custom made by Victory with my business label on it(MYPETPYTHON) I breed high end ball pythons, my second favorite passion.

Ide love to post some pics of my humidor if its possible, Thanks for your time guys, and Hello to all!

Hi David! Awesome intro! Cool sounding hobbies. I want a sleeve on my left arm (I have a 1924 model T hotrod and my left arm hangs over the door) but my wife is being pretty tough about it. So no sleeve for now.

AF Hemingways are awesome smokes. In fact I just smoked one about 3 days ago. Right now I am mainly into La Flor Dominicanas, Illusione, and Perdomo, but will try any cigar at least once. By all means post all the pics you want.

David: Welcome to the board. For future reference it only rains twice a year in Oregon. First for six months and then again for six months. Salem is right in the middle of it. Might I recommend learning about Gore-Tex outerwear. If you need to dry out take a holiday to Bend or Pendelton on the eastern side of the Cascades. I'm sure there's a bed and breakfast or three.

Recreational opportunity: Silver Falls State Park. Less than an hour away from Salem. I visited there in the eighties. It was one of the nicest state parks I've ever visited and the trail behind the waterfall was awesome.
