...However, I do enjoy a cigar every now and again. I joined to gain a bit more insight, read some reviews, and possibly get suggestions on good smokes. That is, when I can splurge and buy a few tasty stogies.

I am active duty Air Force, originally from Milwaukee, and am currently stationed in southern Alabama (the Florida panhandle).

Looking forward to gaining some knowledge from some of the fine members here.

Hi Sergeant Miller!

Welcome to the forum! When you do smoke cigars, what are you smoking? Several pipe smokers here as well. Again, welcome in! Make yourself at home!

Welcome from Mequon! I enjoy both pipes and cigars! What blends do you normally smoke?

@Dustin - thanks for the welcome. My knowledge is quite limited, but have enjoyed some Oliva cigars, primarily Maduro. I've also tried a few Cohibas and Acids. One cigar in particular sticks out. From my research, it is quite cheap. Sonador by Plasencia. It was extremely smooth, cool, slightly sweet and a bit nutty. Rather like a good Burley pipe tobacco.

I think this was it : http://www.thompsoncigar.com/produc...nglefeed-_-Pricegrabber-_-24062&promoCode=cse

@Emjay - I find that I gravitate toward any combination of Virginia, Burley and Perique mostly. I am a big fan of vitamin N, so I also enjoy the rope tobaccos. As far as Latakia goes, I don't smoke it that often, but prefer Balkans over English's.

Favorites include:

Petersons Irish Flake
C&D Haunted Bookshop
H&H Capitol Stairs
C&D Sunday Picnic
Peter Stokkebye : LTF, LNF, LBF
Escudo

Welcome. I also smoke both cigars and the pipe, but only E A Carey pipes using black cavendish tobacco (for the last 15 years).
