I'm fairly new the cigar game. I started smoking cigars when I worked on a golf course as my summer job back east mowing greens. Mostly smoked to keep the bugs away. In the 10+ years since then, I've started to be able to afford better cigars and recently last year purchased my first table-top humidor. I love learning about all the different types of cigars out there, and owning the humidor just makes cigar so much more enjoyable. I love going to my own stash and picking out what I want to smoke. My favorite time for a smoke is here in the Rocky Mountains around a campfire with either a cup of coffee or my Gentleman Jack.

I'm heading to Tampa for work this week and thought about hitting up Ybor city to bring some sticks back. I have my travel humidor packed! If anyone has some good shops or cigars to buy while in Tampa, I'm all ears!

Glad to be on the site:cheers:

mabst73,

Welcome to the forum! Where is Lone Tree at? I was born in Springs many years ago. Coincidentally my wife was born in Pueblo. We were both raised and met in Texas. We love it up there. Both have family there. In fact last year we spent some time in Estes Park. I definitely have the high country in my blood.

Unless things have changed, Ybor City is a rough neighborhood, so if you go, be careful and do it in the daytime.

Welcome from Central Canada. Living in fly over country, I love the mountains, and get my fix by going to Banff National Park. Some day, I want to take my trailer, and head south to Colorado.

Back from my trip. I never did make it to Ybor city. From what I gather its transitioned to just be a bar hopping town and no longer a cigar rolling epicenter.

Being from Colorado, it was too humid for me to want to sit out at night in Tampa and have a smoke, plus the random rain showers!

Lone tree is 15-20 miles south of Denver, nice little town, but it's getting a little pricey to live here.
