Well, if I still smoked and could find my black meerschaum pipes, I'd light up some Harkness F; a private blend that originated here in San Antonio at the Harkness Tobacco Shop.

I will admit, its been several days without a cigar. This time of year with hunting and all, I just want to smoke pipes. I spent a weekend in Chicago and smoked a few different blends.
Friday:
Presbyterian Mixture in a Peterson Churchwarden
McClelland Arcadia in a Castello Sea Rock
G&H Bob's Chocolate Flake in a Neerup flame grain
Saturday:
Dunhill Early Morning Pipe in a Savinelli billiard
Erinmore Flake in a GBD
Frog Morton On the Town in an Ascorti Business full bend
Today:
Eric Nording Hunter Blend Retriever in a Nording 2003 Pipe
Bob's Chocolate Flake in the Neerup again.

All of my pipes (49) have dedicated tobacco. I do not smoke more than one tobacco in each pipe, because certain flavors will remain in the briar. I know it sounds kinda OCD, but its true.

Tonight to pass time while frying a turkey, I smoked a bowl of Frog Morton "On The Town". Great mild English blend, perfect for those crossing over from aromatics.

And you're still married? Dude, teach me!

Chris. I'll tell you what. I ended up with the BEST woman there is. She is tolerable of my cigar and pipe collections, and never complains. I am gone at least 80% of the time between September and January for hunting, and still no complaints. She must have a psudo-husband! LOL. All kidding aside, she is the best. She took care of Bildo, Alex and I during my sit-down weekend, when we...... well, you know, drank a little too much.

Chris, the one I have been smoking is a BC Capitan. It is a straight pipe, with a very flat shank and stem. Retail was about $180.
Today I smoked some C&D Autumn Evening out of an Ascorti Business rusticated full bend.
I did try some of the C&D Manhattan Afternoon the other day. Usually I get tongue bite from VA flake, but this stuff was nice. No bite if puffed slowly, and it has a sweet but somewhat dry finish.

Capt, could you tell me a little about the Autumn Evening?
Was it the CAO/Dan Blue note? I LOVE that stuff. Just ordered another 8 oz.
Autumn Evening:
Its a Red Viriginia Cavendish with a Maple casing. Although the maple smells very strong in the tin, its very smooth and "just right" in the pipe. The tobacco is quality, and consistent. It never changes through the bowl, always stays the same. Not wet or goopy, won't dirty up your pipe. I truly enjoy this stuff, and I cannot wait until the fall to smoke this raking leaves or grouse hunting in the fall colors.
Capt, yes it was CAO/Dan Blue Note. It is currently one of my favorite aromatics. I'm looking to try a few more aromatics, as I have only tried a few of them. I've been somking mostly VA, VAPer, and English belnds.
I've gottem more compliments on the Blue Note than about anything else, and it tastes pretty good too.
