C & D fixed me up with a sampler today...

WELL, I WENT AN DOOD IT !

You folks can be very informative and influential to a retread pipe smoker.

Today I took the boards posts to hart and called Pattie at C & D and ordered a sampler pack. Looking forward to finding a couple of other blends that I like.

I became a retread pipe smoker when I inherited a handful of pipes form an old friend and NOW I am going to try some QUALITY tobacco. The inherited pipes came with a full pound of Sir Walter Rollie which is now in my garden growing weeds.

I tried smoking pipes back in the 70's, in those days the "drugstore" was the only source for fodder. NEVER found but one brand I liked which was ROLF'S apricot brandy.

Sure looking forward to the C & D sampler . :P

Wish me luck in the great experiment of my retirement.

Well , I gave them a good run but still coulden't find any that was good enough to order. I still have "Cool hand Luke" from The Outlaw Cigar Company in Kansas City. That must me my "soul mate" tobacco.

NO flames "no pun intended" to C & D but just diden't work out.
