If you ever have the opportunity to try Havana Club go for it. I already miss my empty bottles of their seven-year-old rum. I used it for desert recipes and for drinking. I would take it over Bacardi any day. I have a bottle of 3-year-old Havana Club that is okay and a bottle of their Silver but that I haven’t opened yet.

Imagine Cuba without the embargo...

Ah yes, how well I remember the unique and delicious flavor from the 5 oz. flask of Havana Club rum (vintage unknown) that a member of "another web site" sent me in a shipment of cigars for my 45th birthday a little over two years ago. Wonderful stuff. Yes indeed, would that it weren't so hard to get Cuban agricultural products!!!

Yes, and I can get Amtrak at Poughkeepsie station, about 20-25 minutes from my house. :D

Yeah, it´s the coming back home part that is the hardest. But hell, some of the Cuban rums are so smooth you could finish the bottle on a day trip and return home smiling.

That´s if you don´t get removed from the train for talking excessively in an incoherent tone.

How would that be any different from his trip there?
