If you guys ever come throught the Unintah Basin for some unfortunate reason, there is an oasis.
Dinosaur Brew Haus on Main Street. Very small little hole in the wall joint, but it is not to be passed by.
I wanted a burger and heard that they were the best in town. I discovered that this was not just true, but an understatement. The cheese burger came with a thick slick slice of Monteray Jack cheese melting into the 1/2 pound beef patty with all the normal burger toppings on the side for your selection. The bun was a nice thick onion deli bun that was almost right out of the oven fresh. Home made fries served up on the side.
An excellent meal that made my Coca-cola seemed unworthy. So I orderd a draft of their micro brewed porter. A rich dark beer with a good head. Not bitter at all, but full of flavor. The 3.2 beer is what they sell in the cans at the grocery store... the stuff they can serve at establishments such as this is the full bodied stuff... and a little more so. It gave a nice warming feeling by the bottom of the glass.
Oh, Gentilemen... this was a glorious meal. Simple common man fare, but fit for an emporer. Best. In. Utah. It's a 4 hour drive to anything even close to being this good. Seriously.

That sounds might fine! And I'll bet the waitress was a cutie to boot.

My inlaws are headed out of Carlsbad, CA tomorrow morning in an RV headed for St. George, then Zion, then Bryce. I'll have to get my atlas out to figure out where Vernal is in relation.

I'm not making this up - the waitress aka Assistant Manager and the Manager were the only ones there. They are indeed very attractive young ladies... and they are both in my History class. One sporty blonde tom-boy that knows more about fermented beverages than any lass I've ever met, and the other is a sporty tom-boy brunette who is the manager and the Master Burger Griller.
I'm in love.
Vernal is in the upper right hand corner of the state, opposite end from St George.

Last night I had to write a paper and it just wasn't going to happen here at home so I went back.
I pondered over a blank page for awhile until there was a nice glass of porter in front of me. After the glass was empty and my mind propperly lubricated, I had 3 pages written.
This microbrew actually comes from Squatters in Salt Lake. Squatters has a good reputation for quality and it is well deserved.
I find I like the darker brews... the darker the better with a head the color of carmel. I don't consider myself to be a drinker, and I do not like the feeling of inebriation... but I do like the flavor and the craving gets the better of me on occasion. Especially when I have some serious thinking to do.
Looking over what I wrote last night... it's brilliant. Squatters Porter is in a word, inspirational.
If you ever end up in SLC or Park City Utah... try it.

I love porter, and I'm sure I'd love this one, but I want to know more about those chicks and this "lubrication" you mentioned.

They are both in my history class... Very cool girls. They know how to run a bar. I overheard one of them lecture another patron about the fineries of brewing and the differences between the different offerings.
Impressive.

Yes, you did mention that. And what's better than a woman who's interesting to talk to, and knows about some of your favorite things, like great beer, real beer, not that headache inducing American pisswater, no names please. :D

Have fun with the lady(ies).
