OLD single malt tasting

32 year old OBAN, , glad I didnt by the bottle at $339.99, bad enough paying $50.00 for a single shot that was measured & not a free pour, glad I didnt pay for the shot, a buddy was in town with his expence account , he wanted to give it a try & told me he would by me one, well I have a hard time saying No to anyone who is buying hahahaha
to be honest, it was just OK, nothing outstanding, 110 proof, it was smoooooooth for sure , but way to much oak taste for me ,
it was lighter than I had hoped for , & the tiny little snifter it was served in didnt allow you to get your nose inside the snifter , but it was the only snifters they had, , sure dont want to order the 150 year old brandy at that place, , service was so so & there was a loud mouth druken fool at the bar bitching about his wife or girlfriend, maybe it was his mother, who ever it was this guy sure had no love loss for them, well it was hard to carry on a conversation , & the roads were getting icy & smow covered & I had a 35 mile drive home so I only had the one drink & a huge mug of coffee after it on the way home, will I try it again, NO way , not for a half a hundred anyhow , dammm thats 5 great cigars

but the ambanance of the place & the strippers had a lot to do with the price , hahahahaha , no sorry that was later, I did have a few more at a different bar, damm it was almost dawn when I got home, I am way to old for that stuff anymore hahahaha

I am way to old to this this more than 2 or 3 times a week, , back in the 60's when I was a Younger man , before I started to put on a lot of weight, I was able to stay out all night , go to work in the morning, & still be as good as I was , but time & age have taken my agility & staying power, what I used to do all night , Now takes me all night to do ! hahahaha
