I recently came upon a deal I could not resist. Whenever a few of the various antique dealers about town find an oddity, I get a call.
This week's find: an antique bier*. It's in fine shape, and I shall gently modify it to become my home bar. I think I'll make a glass top, so the actual bier can be appreciated. It's made of wood, split rail handles, and wagon wheels. Fastened together with pegs and leather straps. It just needs some teak oil, and the wood will look great. The leather will need Neatsfoot oil, and a lot of it.
Bloof, what say you?
*Bier: –noun 1. a frame or stand on which a corpse or the coffin containing it is laid before burial.
2. such a stand together with the corpse or coffin.
