The Nub

I just finished the Nub 460 Habano. The burn was perfect thru out. I picked up lots of leather and black pepper. I didn't notice a sharpness or bitterness until the last third but even then it wasn't a bad bitterness. As Kevin said, the ash stayed strong and frm and didn't break off until I was almost finished. Total smoke time was about 1 hr. and 5 minutes.

Looking forward to the camaroon now.

I have really enjoyed the Nub Habano. It is difficult for any cigar to live up to pre-release hype, but I think this cigar has done the job quite well. I would agree that it does have a bit of a barnyard flavor. The cigar is surprisingly smooth and enjoyable. For someone who is one the fence, I would highly recommend picking up a least a few to try. For me, I like the 464T (Torpedo) the best.

Thanks for the great review notes. I have recently heard of these, and wanted to see about trying them. I think you all got me talked into. Now, I just need to justify buying another cigar, with my humidor nearly full. Hmmmm..

Frank, the Nub is one of those cigars that you just have to try. Kinda like an Acid. Well, maybe not an Acid. You can pick up 5 pack samplers at cigarbid at a decent price.

The Nub Cameroon and Habano are both good smokes. I have not tried the Connecticut. I mentioned on another thread that they get a little hot in the last half and get real spongy.

I have recently heard that Nub is introducing a maduro. I will definately try one of those.

Dont listen to DL. Do you really want to take advice from a guy who wants to run INTO a burining building when everyone else is running away?

Nub is not worth $5 or the 45 minutes it takes to smoke it. But...that is just my opinion, and it should be yours

That's what I don't understand. Oliva claims the the large Nub will last as long as a churchill or presidente. The most I got out of the 466 was 65 minutes. The second Nub I smoked, about 50 minutes. A churchill can last me up to two hours. Maybe I smoke too fast.

No way it last as long as a churchill - the longest I think I have gotten was 65 minutes out of it - I get longer out of robustos. But I will admit - I like the cigar a lot.
